Captain
Pobelter ($10,800)
Pobelter for his price point as captain is a slam dunk, you get a second mid laner and he honestly has rejuvenated an underwhelming CLG line-up despite his uncertain performances in academy. I was not too high on Pobelter coming into his reintegration into the roster, but the results don’t lie: CLG look a lot lot better now that Finn, Broxah, and Pobelter are all together on the same team. For a second choice, I’d grab WildTurtle who has been the consistent star on CLG, Golden Guardians stands no chance.
Alternatives to consider: Perkz ($12,000)

Top Lane
Finn ($7,200)
Top laner Finn has not been impressive for much of the split, but recently he’s leveled up his play and his opponent on Saturday in Niles has likely been the worst top laner in the league. CLG have recently triumphed over their opponents (inconvenient timing!) and are looking to shut the door on Golden Guardians on Saturday. This list is littered with CLG players for good reason, they’re insanely cheap and get to play versus the worst team in the league. For a second choice, I’d pick up Ssumday who gets to knock out an underwhelming Licorice.
Alternatives to consider: Ssumday ($6,400)

Jungle
Broxah ($7,000)
I think Broxah, in 99% of circumstances, is not a good player. As I’ve said before though, Golden Guardians are so bad that he will do no wrong against the 10th place squad and will run them into the ground. Broxah’s first ganks have relatively high effectiveness, and CLG will not be impeded in converting that early gold into a victory unlike they do versus other teams. Golden Guardians is dead in their tracks. Otherwise, I’d choose Santorin who play against EG on Saturday, I think CoreJJ will outperform IgNar and will radiate his advantage towards the jungle.
Alternatives to consider: Santorin ($6,800)

Mid Lane
PowerofEvil ($7,000)
With Pobelter as captain, I think the logical choice for mid lane is resource sponge PowerofEvil, TSM’s most stable player. PoE’s opponent Insanity mirrors his own style: a relatively stable carry player, however PowerofEvil’s pedigree and experience gives him a noticeable advantage over the younger Insanity. TSM have been on the up-and-down, but PoE is the player who is always putting up good numbers on the squad. My secondary choice is Ry0ma, who gets to play against a weak Palafox. While Ry0ma hasn’t astounded me, he’s played well enough to earn my recommendation.
Alternatives to consider: Ry0ma ($7,400)

ADC
WildTurtle ($8,000)
Finally! Salvation! Kind of. WildTurtle has been the standout player on CLG, and was a great performer last year on FlyQuest, which makes him being doomed to miss out on play-offs pretty sour, although CLG have finally hit their stride so maybe not all is doomed. WildTurtle gets to shoot his shot versus Stixxay on Saturday, and despite having a good Friday, I don’t think the ADC has much left in his tank after getting abused the entire split. Lost is another great option, getting to match-up against Destiny and Raes, Raes has been solid, but Destiny has left much to be desired.
Alternatives to consider: Lost ($7,200)

Support
SwordArt ($5,000)
Foreshadowing, Immortals has an interesting roster: their jungle, ADC, and mid lane are each relatively good, and in my opinion, pretty competitive against the rest of the LCS, short of the best of the best. Revenge unfortunately looks like one of the worst top laners in the league, and Destiny hasn’t been awe inspiring either. I think Lost and SwordArt have finally found their form, and while Huni is still… Huni, TSM’s bottom lane is a good one to recommend. For a more premium option, I’d suggest CoreJJ who should match-up nicely alongside Tactical versus Deftly and IgNar.
Alternatives to consider: CoreJJ ($5,600)

Team
Team Liquid ($4,800)
For a safe, money saving choice, I like Liquid as a team pick. They’ve improved in my opinion as the split went on and dealt a crushing blow against Dignitas to demonstrate their good form on Friday. I think Santorin and Jensen aren’t quite at the level I’d like them to be, but they’re still good enough to squash Evil Geniuses. Otherwise, TSM is a good choice against IMT.
Alternatives to consider: Team SoloMid ($5,400)

Stacks:
Pobelter & Finn
Solo laners for CLG take my choice on the squad: Niles and Ablazeolive relative to Finn and Pobelter is the largest gap across the team in my opinion, perhaps WildTurtle should be included too, but WildTurtle doesn’t really have the tools to smash people fast like his solo laners do. Pobelter has made all of CLG look better, and Finn versus Niles is pure cash.

SwordArt & PowerofEvil
The two members of TSM I’d recommend, alongside perhaps Lost. Spica hasn’t looked the same since Bjergsen left his side and Huni is playing Russian Roulette with four chambers loaded. I think TSM will smack IMT despite getting swatted by EG (well, Impact) on Friday. I’ve been bit by Huni again and don’t trust him, but the more stable members on TSM are worth their price tag.

CoreJJ & Santorin
TL’s jungle-support is my choice versus EG, while Santorin has been relatively hit-or-miss, his KDA remains high whereas Svenskeren is near the bottom. Svenskeren in particular I feel is a jungler who is disproportionately threatened by good bottom lanes keeping IgNar in lane and reducing his ability to affect the map, and CoreJJ is just that sort of player.

Top Picks: WildTurtle, PowerofEvil, Pobelter
Two CLG players round out our top picks: WildTurtle and Pobelter are two high resource players, and while I think Finn has a bigger gap over Niles, I can’t deny that ADC is the position to rack up kills, and WildTurtle is a great pick despite him being on the pricey side. Pobelter is cheap and a great pick into the weak Ablazeolive, and PowerofEvil has the experience edge on Insanity.

Top Value: Anyone on CLG
CLG is cheap, they’re not a good team, but they look much MUCH better than they did a few weeks ago now that they actually are playing with their starting roster, who they’re 4-3 with. Golden Guardians are nearing the end of the split with only two wins under them; CLG is a team to pay attention to going into summer, and their players are easy points against
