Below are game breakdowns for Sunday’s three-game DFS NHL slate followed by example lineups. Please note that the pivots are meant to be more GPP specific plays.
Tampa Bay @ Carolina
This game is damn near even money with the gap being lower than you might think because the lesser Carolina team is the home team. Both teams also have the middle two matchup ratings of the six teams on this slate per my own matchup stat, so neither team is a must-play but neither should you avoid the game out of hand. Both teams played last night, so neither team is gaining much of an advantage in that respect.
We’re not really looking to stack either of these teams, so we’re looking for value we can use as one-offs in our lineups. From Carolina, Nino Niederreiter sticks out as a value on DK where his salary is 8.6-percent of the cap compared to 10.2-percent of the cap on FD. Nino plays on the top line and top PP unit which obviously gives him upside. But that’s even more true at home where...
