Samir Doughty - Auburn - FD $7,300 DK $8,300

In a rare turn of events, FanDuel and DraftKings have agreed on a slate for once. We have six games on the board and both sites have posted the identical set of six. Rejoice! We’re going to be all over this New Mexico - Auburn game as its total is 17 points higher than the next game and it holds just a seven-point spread. With Bryce Brown and Jared Harper both gone to the NBA, this team Auburn has become Samir Doughty’s. He’s averaging 18 points per game and has been over 20 in three games so far. He’s also played over 30 minutes in every game that’s not a complete blowout. New Mexico plays at the 27th fastest PACE in the nation, so we want to target as many guys from this game as we can. Doughty is the clear-cut and obvious choice, and he’s easily my favorite guard on the board.

JaQuan Lyle - New Mexico - FD $7,000 DK $8,100

New Mexico is no methodical team themselves, ranking 93rd of 353 teams in PACE. Both of these teams are going to get up and down the floor and it’s why we see a 157 over/under. Lyle is a scoring machine and New Mexico is going to lean on him big time in this game. He’s put up 18+ real-life points in all five games so far and has eclipsed 24 twice. Facing a team that’s willing to run with New Mexico, I’m expecting a big game out of Lyle here. He’s going to shoot the ball 15-20 times and we know he’s going to stuff the stat sheet in other areas as well. For a guard, he’s an excellent rebounder, averaging 4.5 per game. Lyle is an Ohio State transfer and the talent is glaring. He’s going to give Auburn all they signed up for in this Roman Legends Classic. We’ll get to plenty more guys from this game.

TJ Haws - BYU - FD $5,800 DK $6,100

Haws is still too cheap on both FanDuel and DraftKings. The six-foot-four senior guard is the heart and soul of this BYU team and he plays 35 minutes in big games. This is going to be a tight one and Haws should be able to get it going against UCLA. Prince Ali is their best defender, and he’ll be covering Jake Toolson. That’ll leave Haws to deal with some porous defenders and he’ll surely take advantage. He fills up the stat sheet, averaging 17 points, five assists, and 3.5 rebounds a game last season. He’s going to up those averages a bit this season and he’s got some work to do. He’s a lock for me in cash games on both sites at this price.

Kobe King - Wisconsin - FD $6,000 DK $5,800

The 6’4” King averages the most minutes a game for this Wisconsin team, playing 32.5 per night. He’s a do it all guard, but the majority of his upside comes from scoring the ball. Richmond plays faster than Wisconsin and it should give the Badgers a few extra possessions. Richmond is also a weak defensive squad, and King shouldn’t have any issues getting open. He’s not afraid to shoot the ball and he’s been over 20 fantasy points in three straight games. Kobe King is fairly priced on both sites and I’m a fan in all formats.

Austin Reaves - Oklahoma - FD $6,600 DK $7,300

We’re going back up a little bit in price, but Reaves is worth noting. As a sophomore, Reaves played just 20 minutes a night and didn’t do much for Wichita State. He transferred, sat out last year, and is now leading the Oklahoma Sooners in offense through five games. He’s been over double-figures and 30+ minutes in every game so far and this is going to be a fun one. Stanford has a few solid defenders, but lack rim protection and rebounding. Reaves averages five rebounds and 2.8 assists on top of his 16 PPG. He’s a bit more affordable on FanDuel, but you can play him anywhere if you think he gets hot from the field.

Devan Cambridge - Auburn - FD $3,700 DK $3,900

This is a pure punt, but Devan Cambridge is going to do damage when he’s on the floor. If you have a chance to watch him play, he stands out like crazy and is going to be a superstar either later this season or next. He’s been getting a few minutes lately and I wouldn’t be surprised if he sees 20 in this game. The up and down nature favors him and he’s been the most efficient player off the bench for the Tigers. For under $4k on both sites, Cambridge has a lot of upside.

Forwards

Jalen Banks III - Georgia Tech - FD $7,100 DK $8,500

Banks hasn’t impressed early on the offensive side, but 17 blocks through three games is beyond impressive. He put up 50 fantasy points against NC State to open up the season, but has since been under 30 in each performance. Banks is going to dominate this Arkansas interior and I think he falls closer to 50 than 25 in this match-up. He’s going to play 30+ minutes in a close game and there isn’t a guy on Arkansas I would trust to slow down Banks. If you can fit him at forward, I love the upside.

Carlton Bragg Jr. - New Mexico - FD $6,800 DK $7,000

This New Mexico Lobos offense runs through JaQuan Lyle and Carlton Bragg Jr. Bragg has actually struggled to start the season from the field, but that will naturally even itself out. He played over 30 minutes for the first time last game and put up 30 fantasy points. With Auburn expected to match the Lobos pace, the upside is huge on Bragg Jr. He averaged close to a double-double last season while averaging just 23 minutes a night. He’s now over 30 minutes and in a match-up with an Auburn squad that likes to run and give up plenty of peripherals, he is a great value. New Mexico is just a seven-point underdog, so I don’t mind playing two of these guys from each team. There will be a ton of points in this game and even more peripherals to pick up. Bragg Jr. is my favorite big man in this game.

Isaac Okoro - Auburn - FD $6,200 DK $6,100

We’ll now go to the Auburn side with Isaac Okoro. Okoro is averaging 14.4 points, four rebounds, and two assists a night. He’s a freshman and as raw as it gets, but his upside is also through the roof. This is the kind of player who can randomly put up 50 fantasy points as his energy doesn’t stop and New Mexico doesn’t have the speed to stay with him. I’m a huge fan of Okoro in this match-up as he thrives when he can get up and down the floor. He’s already been uber-consistent over 20 fantasy points, but Okoro should get closer to that 30 number tonight and he’s not too pricey on either site. We’re not done with this game just yet.

Sean McDermott - Butler - FD $5,800 DK $6,000

McDermott is the clubhouse leader for this Butler team, and he’s playing more minutes than anyone (33 MPG). He’s averaging 12 points and six rebounds, though I expect that number to go up drastically. McDermott hasn’t been needed much to start the season, but he will take in more off the offense in closer games. I expect McDermott to be over 25 fantasy points here and he’s under $6k on both sites. This game is going to be a slow one and you don’t have to get much exposure, but McDermott is fairly priced and I think he has the best shot at hitting value in this game. Kamar Baldwin at guard is another guy I have GPP interest in from Butler.

Danjel Purifoy - Auburn - FD $5,300 DK $5,100

I know I’m beating a dead horse with this game, but the 157 total isn’t something to just mention and move along. You want to make it a point to target at LEAST three or four guys from this game. There will be more points scored, but there are also more missed shots, which lead to more rebounds, assists, steals, etc. Purifoy is way too cheap on both sites as a guy that’s going to put up 20+ fantasy points every night once he settles in. Purifoy fell off last season and averaged just 12 minutes, but he’s back over 30 minutes on a regular basis and he’s an energy guy they lean on to rebound and make plays. He should be just as expensive as Okoro as both have the same upside in this run and gun match-up. For nearly $5k on both sites, Purifoy is my favorite point-per-dollar forward.
