Cole Anthony - UNC - FD $7,000 DK $9,300

Cole Anthony needed no introduction to the college scene. The son of former pro Greg Anthony put up 34 points, 11 rebounds, and 5 assists in his opener vs Notre Dame. Anthony took over 40% of all shots for UNC, and his usage % was well over 50%. It’s hard to see that continuing, but it really wouldn’t surprise me with Anthony clearly heads and shoulders above the rest of this starting lineup as a scorer. The other four guys all seem to prioritize passing the ball, and Anthony certainly doesn’t. With UNC losing the majority of their scoring from a season ago, Anthony is going to be relied upon nightly to put up big numbers. He’s in play across the board, but is criminally underpriced on FanDuel. Lock and load in cash games over there.

Tyrese Maxey - Kentucky - FD $7,300 DK $7,000

Maxey is another freshman that lit it up on opening night. He came off the bench for Kentucky and played 32 minutes en route to 26 points on just 12 shots. He’s a scoring machine and this Kentucky offense needs the punch. Maxey is the best scorer on the team with P.J. Washington and Tyler Herro both gone to the NBA. Eastern Kentucky isn’t going to put up much of a fight, and Maxey shouldn’t have trouble dropping another 20 points. His price is fair on both sites and I’m a fan in all formats.

MaCio Teague - Baylor - FD $5,800 DK $7,700

Teague is an extremely talented transfer from UNC-Asheville that does it all and plays big minutes. He led the Baylor Bears in minutes in game one and stuffed the stat sheet with 18 points and 10 boards. With UNC-Asheville, Teague averaged 35 minutes with 17 points, four rebounds, and three assists. He was forced to sit out last season after transferring but is going to be a huge part of this team going forward. He was the point guard for UNC-Asheville but starts at small forward for the Bears as they run a three-guard set. Teague is going to be the utility guy Baylor leans on and the minutes are a lock. They are just five-point favorites on the road in Washington, so this is a big game for early in the season. Teague is fairly priced on both sites and I’m a fan in all formats.

Isaiah Miller - UNCG - FD $7,200 DK $6,300

Miller was the leading scorer for UNCG last season, averaging 15 points with four rebounds and two assists in 27 minutes a game. It was Kaleb Hunter who led the scoring punch in game one, but Miller is going to be the leading scorer on this team and he has the ball in his hands a ton. Greensboro is only a 15-point underdog against Kansas, so you can definitely target both sides of this game. Kansas is more susceptible to guards as well with Azubuike and McCormack down low. I love Miller in all formats as I doubt he gets much attention and should have a big night.

Andrew Platek - UNC - FD $3,200 DK $5,000

Platek is still priced in the gutter after putting up 15 fantasy points in 25 minutes in the opener. He was the first guard off the bench and complimented Cole Anthony nicely. He won’t be a big point-scorer, but he fills up the stat sheet and will do so easily against teams like UNC-Wilmington. He doesn’t need to score to come through in fantasy, which is always a great trait for cash games. The price is simply too low on both sites and he lets you have a ton of freedom elsewhere. You’re playing with fire if you avoid this lock of a value play.

Others to Consider

Tre Jones - Duke - FD $8,000 - DK $7,700

Kaleb Hunter - UNCG - FD $5,300 - DK $6,400

Ochai Agbaji - Kansas - FD $7,400 DK $6,400

Tarkus Ferguson - UIC -  DK $8,300

Boogie Ellis - Memphis - DK $5,200

Forwards

Tristan Clark - Baylor - FD $3,400 DK $4,600

We’re starting off with a value play because it’s just too juicy. Prior to getting injured last season and being knocked out for the season, Clark was averaging 15 points, six rebounds, and three blocks per game. He’s also a phenomenal passer and a legitimate pro prospect. Clark isn’t going to do a ton of scoring with Baylor as these guards love to shoot, but he should still average double-digits or close to it. McDaniels and Stewart may be solid defenders eventually, but they’re raw and Clark has experience. Clark shouldn’t have trouble rebounding over them either. He’s extremely physical and has a huge presence in the paint. This really just comes down to how many minutes Tristan Clark plays. If he plays a full 25 minutes, he’s the best value play on the planet. Worst-case scenario, he plays 15 and still destroys value. 20 fantasy points is a lock and his price is, for lack of a better word, stupid.

Vernon Carey Jr. - Duke - FD $7,500 DK $7,400

Carey struggled in game one against a tough Kansas frontcourt, but he should get back to himself in a much better match-up against Colorado State. Carey Jr. is going to regularly put up 40 fantasy points and I don’t think he’ll garner much attention after struggling on opening night. He’s going to be a serious contender for the Naismith Award come March and his first huge performance will come tonight. I love Vernon Carey in all formats.

James Wiseman - Memphis - DK $9,000

Do yourself a favor and watch the highlights from the Memphis - South Carolina game. James Wiseman is an absolute monster and he’s going to terrorize defenses nightly. He’s the number one incoming freshman in the nation and is one of the more dominant paint presences we’ve ever seen. He’s also a great shooter in the mid-range and fills up the rest of the stat sheet with steals, blocks, and assists. The University of Illinois at Chicago has to deal with him tonight and it’d be a surprise if Wiseman doesn’t put up another 50 fantasy points. The price is certainly high on DraftKings, but you can fit him with some of this tremendous value we have to play with.

Nick Richards - Kentucky - FD $4,000 DK $4,800

Here we have some more value to play with. Nick Richards comes off the bench, but he played 25 minutes in the opener and his size will be necessary with Darius Hicks and Tre King having a big presence down low for Eastern Kentucky. Richards nearly declared for the draft after last season, but he decided to return and he’ll have a big role on this team. He’s way too cheap and is another guy that opens things up elsewhere for you.

Udoka Azubuike - Kansas - FD $6,900 DK $7,200

Azubuike got into foul trouble against Duke and he didn’t have a huge game. He still salvaged his day with eight points and eight rebounds with four assists. He should get back to domination tonight and a double-double feels like a lock. Azubuike is a threat to block four of five shots in any game and 40 fantasy points will add up quickly with all his peripherals. Finishing with 20 fantasy points in a game that he got into foul trouble and turned the ball over four times is certainly a good sign. Against a far weaker opponent, Udoka Azubuike is going to dominate and his price has come down a bit.
