Quarterback

Jalen Hurts - Oklahoma - DK $9,200 FD $11,800

It was another episode of Jalen Hurts domination last week, as he combined for five touchdowns and 400 yards against West Virginia. Hurts and Oklahoma face another poor defense in Kansas State this weekend and they’re favored by 23 points. Hurts is the top quarterback on the slate and it’s hard to argue otherwise until he slows down considerably. The combination of 250+ passing yards every game and 10 rushing touchdowns in six games is just too hard to pass up. Kansas State has a nightmare on their hands and they’ll be fortunate to keep Hurts under 35 fantasy points.

Brock Purdy - Iowa State - DK $7,700 FD $10,000

It’s about time we recognize what Brock Purdy has been doing this season. Through six games, Purdy has averaged 317 yards per game with 12 passing touchdowns and six rushing scores. He’s run for 75+ yards twice already, so the versatility isn’t in question. He’s facing the worst defense on this slate in Oklahoma State, who can’t stop anyone and is now going on the road to face a powerhouse offense. Iowa State is going to put up close to 40 points and it’s hard to see anything less than three combined touchdowns out of Purdy. This slate doesn’t offer up much in terms of high totals, so we’ll be scratching and clawing a bit more than usual here.

Max Duggan - TCU - DK $5,800 FD $7,500

We’ve been picking on the Texas pass defense all year long and it hasn’t failed us yet. Max Duggan had a bit of a coming out party last week, at least on the ground, running for over 100 yards for the first time in his career. It was against a tough Kansas State defense, too, which makes it all the more impressive. Duggan is extremely cheap on both sites and he allows you to pay up elsewhere. He’s going to be my most popular S-Flex on the board as there are some running backs we need to prioritize.

Tommy DeVito - Syracuse - DK $6,200 FD $7,400

The world is way down on Tommy DeVito, and this is where he steps back up and gets it done. He’s faced two tough defenses in each of the last two weeks and he’s been consistently floored play in and play out due to a terrible offensive line. FSU doesn’t have much of a pass rush and they rank in the bottom 50 against the pass. DeVito has thrown for 250 yards in three of the last four games and now draws his best match-up yet. FSU is a 10-point favorite, so everything points to Syracuse having to throw in the second half and DeVito racking up 300+ yards through the air.

Running Back

Breece Hall - Iowa State - DK $6,500 FD $9,000

Hall has exploded over the last two weeks, totaling 310 yards and five touchdowns on the ground. It’s hard to expect anything close to that number here, but Hall is going to see 15+ carries against a weak Oklahoma State defense and it wouldn’t be crazy to see a three-peat. He’s a four-star freshman that has offers from nearly everywhere in the Midwest. With an implied total over 35 points for Iowa State, Breece Hall is a guy I can’t get away from in any format. He’s my favorite point-per-dollar running back on the slate and his price hasn’t caught up to the production. Lock him into every lineup.

Cam Akers - Florida State - DK $7,500 FD $9,800

We have another dream match-up on our hands for the steady Cam Akers. If we just pull out the games that we’ve recommended him in, he has 37.9, 37.3, and 50.8 fantasy points. Clemson is the only team he put up less than 17 FP’s against and predictably so. FSU is a 10-point favorite over Syracuse, who has allowed 145 yards per game on the ground. It’s also the second-highest total on the slate at 59, implying FSU puts up around 35. Akers is going to see another 25 touches and I’d be shocked to see him score fewer than 25 fantasy points. Feeding Akers will once again be the gameplan for FSU. If you’re choosing between Akers ad Hubbard, it’s slightly Akers for me. I still have Hubbard projected for 25-ish fantasy points, but you get savings with Akers and the game script is a bit safer with FSU favored and OKST an underdog. There’s no wrong call, but you’ll find me with more Cam Akers.

Cam’Ron Harris - Miami - DK $4,800 FD $6,500

DeeJay Dallas traveled with the team, but he hasn’t practiced yet this week. He was injured in the first quarter last week and Cam Harris ended up getting 18 carries for 136 yards. He also caught three balls for 31 yards and a touchdown. If Dallas is out, this is a guy that’s going to be tough to keep out of your lineup. His price is so friendly and the volume is guaranteed in a solid match-up. If we get confirmation that Dallas is out, Harris becomes one of the top points] per dollar plays on the slate and you should look into filling out your flex spot with a running back.

Kennedy Brooks - Oklahoma - DK $5,400 FD $8,200

Kansas State is a lot better against the pass than they are the run, so I could see them selling out to stop Hurts and being even worse against the run than usual. Kennedy Brooks is averaging 8.5 yards per carry with 381 yards and two touchdowns. He’s been banged up, but looked great in each of the last two weeks. If Brooks gets another 15 touches against Kansas State, he’s going to have a huge game. He’s also going to be extremely low-owned with the entire world on Jalen Hurts. In tournaments, I’m uncomfortable with how little Brooks I have. There are just so many options at this position, but I’d be remised to say I don’t expect 20+ fantasy points out of Brooks.

Others to Consider - Chuba Hubbard, Cameron Scarlett, Jonathan Taylor

Wide Receiver

Trishton Jackson - Syracuse - DK $6,900 FD $8,700

This may seem a bit off the wall, but check out what Trishton Jackson does when the offense is working. I’m fully expecting him to return to that 25+ fantasy point mark that we’ve seen him at in three of the last five games. Tommy DeVito hones in on Jackson a ton and this is going to be the first clean pocket he’s had in a few weeks. Jackson is going to see 10+ targets and I could see a multiple touchdown game with ease. Syracuse is going to be throwing all second-half and Jackson is both the deep threat and screen guy. His price is too low and I’ll have him everywhere.

Jalen Reagor - TCU - DK $5,500 FD $7,200

If we’re talking about a price being too low, Jalen Reagor is just $5,500 on DraftKings. If you’re unfamiliar, Reagor is one of the top NFL WR prospects in the upcoming draft. He’s battled a few injuries to start this season, but looks fully healthy with two big games in a row. He now draws one of the best match-ups in the nation in the Texas Longhorns. They just allowed 367 yards to Austin Kendall and West Virginia, who are certainly worse than TCU. Reagor is going to be the focal point of this offense and I fully expect 10-15 touches at a minimum. The price is just far too low and he’s a guy I’m locking into every lineup. There’s no way he finishes this game healthy and with under 15 fantasy points.

Deshaunte Jones - Iowa State - DK $5,800 FD $7,700

We’re picking on a terrible Oklahoma State with Brock Purdy, and both of his top pass-catchers are in play. I prefer Deshaunte Jones between the two, as he’s targeted more in the red-zone and in the screen game. Jones has caught 24 balls over the last three games and is due to find the end zone. Jones is the playmaker of this offense and they make sure to get him the ball one way or another. He’s had success against tough defenses like Baylor and Iowa, so a match-up with the OK State Cowboys is a huge relief. This is the best match-up Iowa State has seen all year long, so make sure you have plenty of exposure.

Anthony Schwartz - Auburn - DK $5,200 FD $7,600

Auburn came out before the game last week and said they were going to make sure Anthony Schwartz got involved as he has excellent chemistry with Bo Nix. They didn’t lie, as Schwartz caught six balls for 73 yards and a touchdown while rushing twice for another 30. The match-up with LSU is a tough one for Auburn, but the LSU defense isn’t all that scary this year. Auburn is going to be able to score a few touchdowns and I think Schwartz is a guy Nix keys in on. He’s a solid play at an extremely cheap price tag.

Tylan Wallace - Oklahoma State - DK $7,200 FD $8,900

If you have the funds to pay up and have already locked Trishton Jackson in there, Tylan Wallace is a guy with a massive upside this weekend. For one, Oklahoma State is a 10-point underdog, so it’s a pretty safe bet that they’ll be throwing all second half. Iowa State also isn’t great against the pass, allowing 300+ yards three times this season. Wallace is going to get double-digit targets and he’s always a touch away from the end zone. He’s one of the more dangerous receivers in the nation with the ball in his hands and I’ll have my fair share of exposure in GPP’s,
