NFL Snap Counts Breakdown: Week 15

It’s finally here.  Fantasy Football Championship Week.  Or if your league has strange rules or a terrible commissioner, maybe you play through week 17 and don’t mind that a bunch of the best players on the best teams will be benched.  Either way, this week is super important. And if you are reading this, that means you are still balling out. So, just as we did last week for fantasy playoffs, we are going to run down the snap counts and give you guys that are locked in as well as the guys who are at risk of sitting out a chunk of crucial snaps.  This week, we will be consolidating our list even further so that it’s only guys you should consider on a championship roster. 49ers

• Locked In: George Kittle , Emmanuel Sanders , Deebo Samuel

• Risky: Raheem Mostert

Bears

• Locked In: Allen Robinson , Anthony Miller  

• Risky: David Montogmey, Tarik Cohen (in what is looking like a negative game script game against the Chiefs, Tarik Cohen may be the more viable option after getting 10 targets in a tough game last week.  The Bears are essentially down two flankers and three tight ends at this point so the targets are there.)

Bengals

• Locked In: Joe Mixon , Tyler Boyd

• Risky: John Ross (still playing too limited of a snap share to be trustworthy   

Bills

• Locked In: John Brown , Cole Beasley , Devin Singletary , 

• Risky: Dawson Knox  

Broncos

• Locked In: Courtland Sutton

• Risky: Noah Fant (after back-to-back weeks playing less than 50% of the snaps, we had to move Fant from locked in to risky, but he’s still a big part of the offense, much like the timeshare RBs), Phillip Lindsay , Royce Freeman

Browns

• Locked In: Odell Beckham Jr, Jarvis Landry

• Risky: Nick Chubb , Kareem Hunt (both are clearly starts in a lot of formats but the time share is also obviously on.  In another negative game script game, Hunt out snapped Chubb once again. This week vs. the Ravens it should be a similar story so Hunt is once again a good play in PPR formats).  

Buccaneers

• Locked In: Breshad Perriman (with Evans and Godwin out, Perriman is essentially locked into a big role), OJ Howard (over the last two games with the injuries to WRs, Howard has run 32.5 routes per game compared to the ~21 per game he has averaged all year)

• Risky: Justin Watson (next man up), Ronald Jones , Peyton Barber , Cameron Brate

Cardinals

• Locked In: Christian Kirk , Larry Fitzgerald , Kenyan Drake

• Risky: David Johnson (after the performance by Drake last week, DJ is realistically not startable after getting three touches)

Chargers

• Locked In: Keenan Allen , Hunter Henry , Mike Williams

• Risky: Melvin Gordon , Austin Ekeler (the usage was split practically down the middle this week with each getting seven carries and five catches)

Chiefs

• Locked In: Travis Kelce , Tyreek Hill

• Risky: Sammy Watkins (Watkins at least plays while the other wide outs play limited snaps and no one in the backfield can be trusted)

Colts

• Locked In: Jack Doyle , Marlon Mack , Zach Pascal

• Risky: T.Y. Hilton (despite limited snaps he still tied for the lead in targets so he’s likely a start if you have him)

Cowboys

• Locked In: Ezekiel Elliott , Amari Cooper , Michael Gallup , Jason Witten

• Risky: Randall Cobb

Dolphins

• Locked In: DeVante Parker , Mike Gesicki

• Risky: Patrick Laird (took a step back this week in terms of snap share)

Eagles

• Locked In: JJ Arcega-Whiteside , Zach Ertz

• Risky: Miles Sanders (if Jordan Howard remains out then he might be more “locked in”), Dallas Goedert

Falcons

• Locked In: Julio Jones , Austin Hooper , Devonta Freeman  

• Risky: Christian Blake , Russell Gage

Giants

• Locked In: Saquon Barkley , Sterling Shepard , Darius Slay ton, Golden Tate , Kaden Smith

• Risky: None (consolidated snap share)

Jaguars

• Locked In: Leonard Fournette , Chris Conley , Dede Westbrook

• Risky: Keelan Cole (Cole is the odd man out if Chark plays)

Jets

• Locked In: Le'Veon Bell , Robby Anderson , Jamison Crowder

• Risky: Vyncint Smith (with Demaryius Thomas looking doubtful, he’s the next man up)

Lions

• Locked In: Kenny Golladay , Danny Amendola (similar snap share as before but no Marvin Jones saw a target boost)

• Risky: Kerryon Johnson (he’s been practicing with no setbacks, Bo Scarbrough has a rib injury which can be tough and J.D. McKissic suffered a stinger last week so they may not have much choice)

Packers

• Locked In: Davante Adams , Aaron Jones (again, putting him here by rushing volume and goal line touches, though he still cedes snaps to Jamaal Williams )

• Risky: Jamaal Williams , Allen Lazard , Geronimo Allison , Jimmy Graham

Panthers

• Locked In: Christian McCaffrey , D.J. Moore , Curtis Samuel

• Risky: Greg Olsen (practiced in full – if he’s out then Ian Thomas would be the guy)

Patriots

• Locked In: Julian Edelman , Mohamed Sanu

• Risky: N'Keal Harry (just a week ago he was benched for a mistake that led to a pick and Dorsett is back so there is risk), Sony Michel , James White (good match-up should favor Michel though Burkhead plays once things are out of hand)

Raiders

• Locked In: Darren Waller , Tyrell Williams  

• Risky: Zay Jones (plays a large snap share but does little with it), DeAndre Washington , Jalen Richard (with Josh Jacobs already ruled out)

Rams

• Locked In: Robert Woods , Todd Gurley , Tyler Higbee (as long as Gerald Everett is out, he actually becomes the pass catching option with Johnny Mundt being the blocking tight end), Cooper Kupp

• Risky: Brandin Cooks (at this point his snap share has dwindled significantly and there may still be concerns of lingering effects from the concussion), Josh Reynolds , Malcolm Brown s

Ravens 

• Locked In: Nick Boyle , Mark Ingram , Marquise Brown (these last two are based on getting those most snaps for their position group consistently, though the number of snaps they play is low relative to other teams)

• Risky: Mark Andrews (even when not battling injury, his typical snap share is 35% to 40% as he is not a preferred run blocker.  Still likely a must start for most teams)

Redskins

• Locked In: Terry McLaurin

• Risky: Kelvin Harmon (playing a good chunk of snaps but not great usage), Adrian Peterson , Chris Thompson (another time share between the running down back and passing down back.  

Saints

• Locked In: Michael Thomas , Alvin Kamara , Jared Cook

• Risky: Tre'Quan Smith (not sustainable as the four target but he’s scored three times in four games) 

Seahawks

• Locked In: Chris Carson , Tyler Lockett , D.K. Metcalf

• Risky: Jacob Hollister (losing some snaps to Tyrone Swoopes as of late but still a decent start in a barren tight end landscape)

Steelers

• Locked In: James Washington , Diontae Johnson, James Conner

• Risky: Vance McDonald (he’s back at full practice but any time a player is just returning from injury there is snap count risk)

Texans

• Locked In: DeAndre Hopkins , Will Fuller , Darren Fells

• Risky: Carlos Hyde , Kenny Stills , Duke Johnson

Titans

• Locked In: A.J. Brown, Derrick Henry

• Risky: Corey Davis , Jonnu Smith

Vikings

• Locked In: Stefon Diggs , Adam Thielen

• Risky: Mike Boone (it doesn’t look good for Dalvin and, if Alexander Mattison is also still out, then he would be a smash start), Irv Smith, Kyle Rudolph (they still both played a healthy snap share even with Thielen back as Bisi Johnson was the one who took the major snap hit)
