Denver Nuggets vs Los Angeles Lakers (-5.5)

Game Total: 214.5

The Nuggets are once again down 3-1 for the third consecutive series. They were able to rally and win against the Jazz and Clippers, but face a more daunting task against the Lakers. The Nuggets have been close in this series outside of Game 1. Anthony Davis hit a three-pointer at the buzzer to win Game 2 and Denver was in the game down the stretch in a 114-108 loss in Game 4. The Nuggets have shown they won't go down easy and the Lakers are well aware of the threat Denver brings.

Player Breakdowns

Please note these players are ranked in order. If a player is not mentioned it doesn’t meant they are a fade.

MVP/CPT

1. Jamal Murray, PG DEN – Murray remains the cheapest of the top four studs. He has played at least 44 minutes in the last three games and with Denver facing elimination, he should again. He has at least 45 DK points in each of those games and had 32 points and eight assists in the last game. He is averaging 26.5 points per game and shooting 54.4 percent from the field in the series. He's only hitting 36 percent from three-point range, so if he can improve on that, there's more ceiling from him. Murray has similar upside to the other starts in this game and is cheaper, making him appealing in a must-win game.

2. Anthony Davis, PF/C LAL – Davis hurt his ankle late in Game 4 and was able to finish. He's expected to play, but keep an eye on pregame reports. Davis isn't as strong on the boards in this series, but he's scoring easily. Davis has at least 49.75 DK points in three of the four games. He has scored at least 31 points in three games. Davis shot 10-for-15 from the field and went 13 of 14 from the foul line in Game 4.

3.LeBron James, PG/SF LAL – James has at least 49.75 DK points in three straight games. After a triple-double in Game 3, James fell two assists and one rebound short of another one in Game 4. He had 26 points, nine rebounds and eight assists and shot only 7-for-18 from the field. He shot 55.6 percent from the field in the first three games.

Mid-Tier

1. Dwight Howard, C LAL – Howard started in the last game to help the Lakers on the boards. He played 23 minutes and had 12 points, 11 rebounds, one assist and one steal for 30.75 DK points. He had 23.75 DK points in 16 minutes in Game 1. The Nuggets have struggled with the size and physical play of Howard.

2. Jerami Grant, SF/PF DEN – Grant went off with 26 points, three rebounds, two steals and two assists in Game 3 for 33.25 DK points. He shot 7-for-11 from the field and predictably he wasn't as good in Game 4. Still, he played 43 minutes and had 17 points and shot 6-for-13 from the field for 22 DK points. He has played at least 34 minutes in three games and should see around 40 tonight.

3.Kentavious Caldwell-Pope, SG/SF LAL – There's not a big ceiling for Caldwell-Pope, but he has provided consistent points. He has scored at least 11 points in each game and hit at least three-pointers in three games. He has played at least 30 minutes in three games and has reached at least 20 DK points in three games.

Dart Throws

1. Monte Morris, PG DEN – Morris has played at least 20 minutes in three of the last four games. He played 27 minutes in Game 4 and had 20.5 DK points with 12 points, four assists and two rebounds, shooting 4-for-7 from the field. Morris is averaging 13 points over the last two games and should play 20-25 minutes tonight.

2. Torrey Craig, SG/SF DEN – There's not much upside here. This is about saving salary to get in the high-priced studs that account for most of the production between these teams. Craig has at least 11 DK points in the last three games and had 15.5 in Game 4. He has played at least 20 minutes in two games.
