Week 15 wasn't that bad in survivor pools unless you had Arizona. They never showed up and lost on the road as double-digit favorites to the Lions, who had one win. Only three teams are favored by double-digits this week. Nine games have lines of 3.5 or fewer in Week 16.

Here are my top survivor picks for the week.

  1. Los Angeles Chargers: The Chargers are 10.5-point favorites over the Texans, but are dealing with COVID-19 issues. Joey Bosa is out and running back Austin Ekeler is on the COVID-19 list. The Texans have three wins, including two against Jacksonville. The Texans have scored 207 points with 67 coming against the Jaguars. Take those two games away and the Texans average 11.7 points per game. The Chargers are 8-6 and fighting for a playoff spot. They are 4-2 on the road and 4-4 at home and this game is in Houston. The Chargers are ninth in pass defense DVOA and not as good against the run, but the Texans running game is weak.
  2. Dallas Cowboys: This is likely the best spot to use Dallas the rest of the season. They are home after three games on the road and can win the NFC East with a win. The Cowboys host the Cardinals next week and finish at Philadelphia and could rest many players that week if nothing is on the line. Division games are always risky, but Dallas is favored by 10.5 points and the defense, ranked third in DVOA, is playing at a high level and constantly forcing turnovers. Washington has had trouble at quarterback and while the Cowboys offense has struggled, they should be able to do enough to get a win. The teams played two weeks ago and Dallas won, 27-20, after leading 24-0. Washington played Tuesday and was missing a lot of players due to COVID-19 and will be on a short week.
  3. Tampa Bay Buccaneers: The Buccaneers are coming off a 9-0 loss to the Saints. The Buccaneers will be missing several key offensive players with Chris Godwin out for the season with a torn ACL and Leonard Fournette is out with a hamstring injury. Mike Evans has a hamstring injury and has yet to practice. Antonio Brown will return for the Buccaneers. The Panthers have a terrible offensive line, DJ Moore is dealing with a hamstring injury and there's talk of shuffling quarterbacks. Tom Brady is 51-15 in his career coming off a loss.
