Below is a breakdown Thursday’s two-game NHL DFS slate followed by example lineups.

Teams to Target

Welcome back, everyone! We have up to two games going on today with the New York Islanders against the Philadelphia Flyers and the Vancouver Cancucks taking on the Vegas Golden Knights. It was encouraging to see Claude Giroux , but production on the Flyers side has proven to be largely erratic. If I’m going to invest in them today, I am going to go their second line with Hayes and Konecny. For the Islanders, Josh Bailey continues to be consistent, so pairing him with Brock Nelson makes sense.  Digging into Vegas and Vancouver, with Vancouver being the home team tonight, I would want to have some shares of Elias Pettersson , with either Tyler Toffoli or J.T. Miller , as they will see less of Vegas’ best defensive players. Adding in Quinn Hughes to that mix also makes sense. When it comes to Vegas, I would look to their second line again. Getting Stastny and Marchessault is a nice pairing, but you can also go to Reilly Smith , however Smith has a lower floor than Marchessault due to the difference in the number of shots taken. That said, Mark Stone has been hot, and Vegas’ top line can score, so if have lots of budget leftover using Stone or Pacioretty is a solid play as well.

Value Plays

Paul Stastny (4,400 DK, 4,300 FD)  - Vegas’ second line will see better matchups tonight with their top line seeing a lot of Bo Horvat . I continue to love Stastny at this price as he could easily get you 2-3 points and provide great value as your second centre.

Josh Bailey (4,500 DK, 5,100 FD) - Bailey continues to be consistent. He has two points in each of his last two games, and while he has almost no shot floor, his price is still one that allows you to easily get him into your lineups.

Quinn Hughes (5,000-DK, 5,500 FD) - Hughes is second in points for the Canucks over their last three games with three, and see the majority of the power-play time. We have seen Hughes have big games already in these playoffs and it would be no surprise if that was the case tonight. This is a really good price for a player with his big-game potential.

Goalies

The goalie situation today hasn’t changed much. Varlamov or Hart should be the plays in goal in cash games. To a lesser extent, you can go with Robin Lehner , but Vancouver could score four or five tonight. Thatcher Demko played very well in the previous game, but I would feel much less comfortable using him in cash games tonight.
