Below is a breakdown of Tuesday’s two-game NHL DFS slate followed by example lineups.

Teams to Target

We should have 2 exciting games tonight with Tampa Bay taking on Boston, followed by Vancouver against Vegas. In the early game, Tampa will need to take advantage of having the last change to try and keep Nikita Kucherov and Brayden Point away from Boston’s top line. If you’re going to stack that top Tampa line, tonight should be the night to do it. Point and Kucherov are still at a point per game over the last week. While Kucherov didn’t score in game one, he did still put 8 shots on goal, so that definitely didn’t hurt you. When looking at Tampa’s defence, Hedman is a top play if you can get him into your lineup, otherwise look to Mikael Sergachev, who is also a nice source of cheap shots, and always has point potential. For Boston, it looks like David Pastrnak has rounded back into form, so try and match him with Bergeron or Marchand where you can. You shouldn’t also don’t be afraid to use David Krejci, and pair him with DeBrusk or Kase as a lower-cost second stack. In the late game tonight, it will be hard to expect Vegas to shutout Vancouver two straight nights, so don’t shy away from using Vancouver’s top players, but you may not wish to stack them given the uncertainty, and keep an eye on Bo Horvat, as he likely won’t see much of Vegas’ best defenders. When looking at Vegas keep an eye on their lines. If Chandler Stephenson is drawing into the top 6 because Stastny is out, he is a great value play. Otherwise, their top 4 wingers are all solid plays, with preference going to Max Pacioretty and Jonathan Marchessault as they shoot at higher volumes.

Value Plays

David Krejci (4,600 DK, 6,300 FD)  - Krejci leads all Bruins in scoring over the last week, and with Tampa getting the last change, he will likely to see lesser matchups, as Tampa focuses on the Boston’s top line. The price is great on DK, but FD’s pricing gives me some pause as part of a second stack.

Jonathan Marchessault (5,700 DK, 7,000 FD) - In the last couple of games Marchessault’s shooting volume has slowed a bit, but I wouldn’t be surprised to see his shot numbers tick back up, and for Machessault to have a big game tonight.

Nate Schmidt (4,200-DK, 4,600 FD) - It’s hard to not love defensemen that give you big shot volumes. Schmidt has 10 shots in the last two games. If he can keep that up it will be hard to not use him on DK where you are getting a bonus at 5 shots.

Goalies

Tonight, you can again make a case for all four goalies, with Robin Lehner likely being your safest option for cash games. Jaroslav Halak and Andrei Vasilevkiy are also viable options in both cash and GPP, but you’re really going to be trying to pick the winner to understand which you should go with. Lastly in GPP games, I wouldn’t be against betting on the Markstrom bounce-back. Vegas put 39 shots on net vs Vancouver on Sunday, and the volume could again be there for Markstrom to have a big DFS night.
