Below is a breakdown of Monday’s four-game NHL DFS slate followed by example lineups.

Teams to Target

Two teams I’m targetting tonight are Winnipeg and Toronto. Winnipeg is at Montreal, where while Price has played better in his last two, he has been prone to blow-ups, as demonstrated as recent as December 28 and 29th where he gave up 5 and 6 goals respectively. On top of that Scheifele and Connor have been white-hot recently, both averaging more than 2 points per game in their last 3. They make a nice stack with Neal Pionk or if Blake Wheeler if you can find room for him. Toronto has been among the highest-scoring teams in recent weeks, while the Oilers have been giving up at least 3 goals in each of their last 3 outings. Vegas has them as the favorite tonight, in a game where more than 6 total goals are expected. If you’re going to stack the Leafs I would look to Nylander, Tavares, and Kerfoot. They have accounted for 3 goals in the last 3 games for the Leafs.

Value Plays

Alex Kerfoot - Kerfoot has quietly accumulated points in 3 of his last 5 games. It is Tavares and Nylander getting the attention on that line, but you’re getting Kerfoot at a discount that will help you get his line-mates into your lineup.

Samuel Girard - Go figure, while Makar was out it seemed that Girard didn’t do much. Now that Makar is back, Girard has gone on a tear with 8 points in his last 3 games. Yet he is priced at 3800 on DK and 4900 on FD.

Boone Jenner- Jenner has points in two of his last 3 games, and the Kings have been giving up 3.5 goals per game in their last 3.

Goalies

With tonight’s short slate, I look to Elvis Merzlikins, in cash games, but he lacks the upside in GPP contests. He has a 0.945 save percentage in his last 3 games, and 2 wins. For GPP contests, I like Hellebuyuk, he has upside as the Jets have been giving up 38 shots per game in their last 3, as well as Varlamov, as the Avalanche shoot as much as any team, and the Islanders defensive style should keep the score down
