CENTERS

Michael Amadio

Old TeamNew Team
LAKTOR
Stats0 G, 3 A, 0 PPP, 24 Shots, 16 Blks, 8 Hits
Related

Amadio is likely to be a 4th liner at best for Toronto, he is likely to have little to no fantasy value.

Phillip Danault

Old TeamNew Team
MTLLAK
Stats5 G, 19 A, 0 PPP, 73 Shots, 28 Blks, 76 Hits
Related

Danault will be an ideal third line centre for the Kings. He could draw into the top six though for the young Kings, but he will only have value in the deepest leagues.

Jujhar Khaira

Old TeamNew Team
EDMCHI
Stats3 G, 8A, 0 PPP, 41 Shots, 21 Blks, 151 Hits
Related

Khaira will likely only serve as depth in Chicago's bottom six. He likely holds no fantasy value unless your league values hits.

Pius Suter

Old TeamNew Team
CHIDET
Stats14 G, 13 A, 3 PPP, 112 Shots, 34 Blks, 28 Hits
Related

Suter will likely come in and fill in the middle six centre role for the Red Wings. He was productive at times last year, but much of his value was tied to playing with Patrick Kane, he will not have that same luxury in the Motor City.

WINGS

Sean Kuraly

Old TeamNew Team
BOSCLB
Stats4 G, 5 A, 88 Shots, 21 Blks, 99 Hits
Related

Expect Kuraly to spend his time in the bottom six in Columbus, and to have no real fantasy value.

Blake Coleman

Old TeamNew Team
TBLCGY
Stats14 G, 17 A, 1 PPP, 122 Shots, 20 Blks, 109 Hits
Related

Coleman will play a middle six role for the Flames, possibly top six depending on how things shake out. He has some value in deeper leagues, and he gets you hits, and has been on a 25 goal pace for three straight years.

Jaden Schwartz

Old TeamNew Team
STLSEA
Stats8 G, 13 A, 3 PPP, 70 Shots, 26 Blks, 40 Hits
Related

Schwartz will see top six minutes in Seattle, and he will be one of the players they depend on for scoring. He should see power play time, but ultimatley his productively will largely depend on Seattle finding a centre for him to play with.

Brock McGinn

Old TeamNew Team
CARPIT
Stats8 G, 5 A, 0 PPP, 58 Shots, 12 Blks, 44 Hits
Related

I will be interested to see how the Penguins use McGinn. He has some weeks last season when he was playing with Aho, where he was productive an useful. He is thought of as a hard worker who is willing to go into the dirty areas, so I wouldn't be surprised if he landed on a line with Crosby next year.

Nick Foligno

Old TeamNew Team
TORBOS
Stats7 G, 13 A, 1 PPP, 81 Shots, 37 Blks, 133 Hits
Related

I'm not sure how the Bruins plan to use Foligno, but I assume he will fill in Craig Smith's spot on the second line, and have a spot on the second power pay unit. I wouldn't expect a lot of production, but he is worth putting on your watch list to see what his chemistry is like with Taylor Hall.

Erik Haula

Old TeamNew Team
NSHBOS
Stats9 G, 12 A, 3 PPP, 85 Shots, 23 Blks, 63 Hits
Related

Haula will serve as depth for the Bruins in their bottom six. I wouldn't expect any fantasy value.

Tomas Nosek

Old TeamNew Team
VGKBOS
Stats8 G, 10 A, 1 PPP, 59 Shots, 18 Blks, 51 Hits
Related

Nosek will serve as a bottom six forward as well. You shouldn't expect any fantasy value.

DEFENSEMEN

Keith Yandle

Old TeamNew Team
FLAPHI
Stats3 G, 24 A, 18 PPP, 113 Shots, 27 Blks, 18 Hits
RelatedIvan Provarov, Ryan Ellis

This seems like an add move by the Flyers. They had just brought in Ryan Ellis who is an offensive player, so I'm not sure what we should expect from Yandle. He could be the top power play defencemen, and play on the bottom pair for the Flyers, but that could be enough for him to have fantasy value.

Ryan Suter

Old TeamNew Team
MINDAL
Stats3 G 16 A, 6 PPP, 86 Shots, 65 Blks, 38 Hits
Related

Suter is likely to be nothing more than depth on defense for the Stars. He has litlte hope of seeing power play time, so I wouldn't expect him to have much fantasy value.

David Savard

Old TeamNew Team
TBLMTL
Stats1 G, 5 A, 0 PPP, 69 Shots, 109 Blks, 132 Hits
Related

Savard will likely come in and eat up the minutes that would of been played by Shea Weber. He doens't have any offense, but if your league uses block and hits he should be in line for plenty of those.

Zach Bogosian

Old TeamNew Team
TORTBL
Stats0 G, 4 A, 0 PPP, 36 Shots, 31 Blks, 67 Hits
Related

Bogosian's game doesn't provide any fantasy value worth noting.

Michael Del Zotto

Old TeamNew Team
CBJOTT
Stats4 G, 9 A, 0 PPP, 77 Shots, 54 Blks, 125 Hits
Related

Del Zotto will be another depth guy, he is unlikely to hold any fantasy value.

Cody Ceci

Old TeamNew Team
PITEDM
Stats4 G, 13 A, 0 PPP, 58 Shots, 70 Blks, 74 Hits
Related

Ceci is a depth player, he is unlikely to hold any fantasy value.

Alexander Edler

Old TeamNew Team
VANLAK
Stats0 G, 8 A, 0 PPP, 99 Shots, 118 Blks, 80 Hits
Related

Edler's value will come largely from leagues who count blocks.

Luke Schenn

Old TeamNew Team
TBLVAN
Stats2 G, 2 A, 0 PPP, 43 Shots, 17 Blks, 99 Hits
Related

Schenn is a depth player, he is unlikely to hold any fantasy value.

Anthony DeAngelo

Old TeamNew Team
NYRCAR
Stats0 G, 1 A, 1 PPP, 13 shots, 6 Blks, 3 Hits
RelatedBrett Pesce

Bringing in DeAngelo is a risk for the Hurricanes. He was a contributor for the Rangers two years ago on the power play, but ultimately became a problem in the room. The Hurricanes will need this move to work if they are going to be a real contender for the Stanley Cup, next season. If he gets the power play though, DeAngelo could be a value on draft day.

Dougie Hamilton

Old TeamNew Team
CARNJD
Stats10 G, 32 A, 18 PPP, 180 shots, 64 Blks, 52 Hits
RelatedTy Smith, P.K. Subban

This wasn't the expected landing spot for Hamilton, but he will come in and immediately be a focal point in the Devils offense. This will significantly effect the value of Ty Smith, who had a nice season offensively as a rookie, and will now have almost no value on draft day.

GOALIES

Frederik Andersen

Old TeamNew Team
TORCAR
Stats13 Wins, 8 Loses, 0.895 sv%, -8.5 GSAA, 0.391 QS%
Related

This is a good landing spot for Andersen. Carolina is a good defensive team, and he should continue to accumulate wins, even if his play continues to decline. We will need to wait and which other goalie ends up in Carolina so we can understand what Andersen's ultimate fantasy value will be though.

Petr Mrzaek

Old TeamNew Team
CARTOR
Stats6 Wins, 2 Losses, 0.923 sv%, 4.5 GSAA, 0.583 QS%
RelatedJack Campbell

This is a good spot for Mrazek. Toronto is a contender, and they will score enough goals to ensure he gets the change to rack up wins. The downside to this landing spot is that he will be splitting time with Jack Campbell, as they will be firmly in a 1A/1B situation.

Philipp Grubauer

Old TeamNew Team
COLSEA
Stats30 Wins, 9 Losses, 0.922 sv%, 14.5 GSAA, 0.667 QS%
RelatedChris Driedger, Vitek Vanacek

This isn't the worst landing spot for Grubauer. Seattle projects to be a defensive team based on their roster, and Dave Hackstool's coaching history. The choice to spend on Grubauer is a bit of a surprise to me with the depth the team alredy had, but that may just mean that Seattle isn't done making moves.

Carter Hutton

Old TeamNew Team
BUFARZ
Stats

1 Win, 10 Losses, 0.886 sv%, -7.6 GSAA, 0.500 QS%

Related

We will need to see how the goalie situation shakes out for Arizona, but it is hard to image that Hutton will have much value next year as the Coyotes appear to be looking to tank next season.

Jonathan Bernier

Old TeamNew Team
DETNJD
Stats9 Wins, 11 Losses, 0.914 sv%, 4.7 GSAA, 0.652 QS%
RelatedMackenzie Blackwood

Bernier will come in and backup Mackenzie Blackwood. Bernier played well in Detroit during his stay there behind a pretty bad team. He is a player that you should keep an eye on in waiver should Blackwood get hurt.

Braden Holtby

Old TeamNew Team
VANDAL
Stats7 Wins, 11 Loses 0.889 sv%, -13 GSAA, 0.333 QS%
RelatedJake Oettinger, Anton Khudobin

This one is a big of a head scratcher. We know that Ben Bishop isn't ready, but unless Holtby is going to be the third goalie, then Jake Oettinger is likely to be sent back to the AHL, after what was a very respectable rookie season.

James Reimer

Old TeamNew Team
CARSJS
Stats15 Wins, 5 Losses, 0.906 sv%, -1.2 GSAA, 0.476 QS%
RelatedAdin Hill

Reimer is going to likley get a 40-50 percent share of the workload next year. Based on the performance of San Jose's defense last year, that might not be worth a lot. Reimer has played well over the last couple of years, but I would be taking a wait and see attitube with him.

Laurent Brossoit

Old TeamNew Team
WINVGK
Stats6 Wins, 6 Losses, 0.918 sv%, 3.9 GSAA, 0.636 QS%
RelatedRobin Lehner

Brossoit has been servicable in a back up role for a few years. This move though signals that Lehner is going to get 60 percent or more of the starts next year, which will certainly increase his value.

Brian Elliott

Old TeamNew Team
PHITB
Stats15 Wins, 9 Losses, 0.889 sv%, -14 GSAA, 0.462 QS%
Related

Elliott will likely see about 30-40 percent of the starts next year for the Lightning, and there will be no question about who the starter is in net for the reigning Stanley Cup Champs.

Martin Jones

Old TeamNew Team
SJSPHI
Stats15 Wins, 13 Losses, 0.878 sv%, -11.7 GSAA, 0.441 QS%
RelatedCarter Hart

Jones didn't have a great run in San Jose the last two years. He is being brought in to back up Carter Hart, but as we saw last year, Hart might not be quite ready for the full time job. It will be interesting to see if the change of scenary helps Jones performance or if the old dog isn't going to learn any new tricks.

Jaroslav Halak

Old TeamNew Team
BOSVAN
Stats9 Wins, 6 Losses, 0.905 sv%, -1.6 GSAA, 0.529 QS%
RelatedThatcher Demko, Michael DiPietro

Halak will back up Thatcher Demko, and likley see about 40 percent of the starts if all goes well, and will serve as a buffer to allow Michael DiPietro to develop further in the minors.

Linus Ullmark

Old TeamNew Team
BUFBOS
Stats9 Wins, 6 Losses, 0.917 sv%, 5.5 GSAA, 0.550 QS%
RelatedJeremy Swayman

Will Vladar shipped out to Calgary, Ullmark and Jeremy Swaymen will compete for the startin job for the Bruins, provided Rask doesn't resign. This should prove as a better landing spot for Ullmark, but a lot will rest on his ability to win the higher percentage of the starts.

Antti Raanta

Old TeamNew Team
ARZCAR
Stats5 Wins, 5 Losses, 0.905 sv%, -1.1 GSAA, 0.545 QS%
RelatedFrederik Andersen

When healthy Raanta has been a productive goalie. He will likely split time with Andersen, which will make him a streamer again this year.
