Russell Shepard Headshot

Shepard (shoulder) practiced in full Thursday, Jourdan Rodrigue of The Charlotte Observer reports.

Shepard followed up Wednesday's capped session with an uninhibited one, paving the way for active status Sunday against the Packers. The opponent is quite yielding to wideouts -- 167 receiving yards per game and 15 touchdowns allowed in 13 games -- but the passing game has been the domain of Devin Funchess and Christian McCaffrey since Kelvin Benjamin's last game as a Panther in Week 8.

Ben Bishop Headshot

Bishop will tend twine in Saturday's road game versus the Flyers, Mark Stepneski of the Stars' official site reports.

This will be Bishop's first time seeing the Flyers as a member of the Stars. Naturally, he's performed worse away from the comforts of the home arena, having maintained a .921 save percentage in Dallas compared to a .915 mark elsewhere this season. Led by veteran winger Jakub Voracek and his 1.23 points-per-game pace, the Flyers rank 17th by averaging 2.90 goals per contest. Bishop is a quality starting option in season-long leagues, but there's nothing to suggest that he's a must-play on Saturday's daily slate.

Devin Funchess Headshot

Funchess (shoulder) was a full participant at Thursday's practice, Jourdan Rodrigue of The Charlotte Observer reports.

With a maintenance day of sorts Wednesday, when his workload was limited, Funchess is ready for Week 15 after completing an uncapped session one day later. On Sunday, another fruitful outing is likely against a Packers defense that has conceded 8.8 YPT and 15 touchdowns to wide receivers in 2017.

Jared Spurgeon Headshot

Spurgeon is listed on injured reserve, per the NHL media site.

Spurgeon is already slated to miss Minnesota's next two games, so this move is little more than a paper transaction. The diminutive defenseman, who racked up 15 points in 23 games prior to being injured, will be joining the team on its upcoming four-game road trip that begins Sunday against the Blackhawks and could get back into the lineup during that stretch.
3:46 pm (EST)
Jusuf Nurkic Headshot

Nurkic (ankle) is listed as questionable for Friday's game against the Magic, Casey Holdahl of TrailBlazers.com reports.

Nurkic has missed three consecutive games with a sprained right ankle, but the fact that he's not being ruled out a day in advance could mean there's some optimism over a potential return. Look for Nurkic to test out the ankle during Friday's morning shootaround, with an update on his availability likely coming shortly after it. Zach Collins and Meyers Leonard have both picked up starts during Nurkic's absence, so both players would likely see an increased role if he's unable to give it a go again.
3:42 pm (EST)
Luca Sbisa Headshot

Sbisa will not be available against the Penguins on Thursday due to a lower-body ailment, David Schoen of the Las Vegas Review-Journal reports.

Sbisa -- who previously was sidelined for seven games with a lower-body malady -- will once again be stuck in the press box. It is not entirely clear if this is a new injury or a recurrence of the previous one. Jon Merrill will slot into the lineup in Sbisa's stead.
3:41 pm (EST)
Marqise Lee Headshot

Lee (foot) was a limited participant during Thursday's practice.

As has been the case for most of the season, the Jaguars are content to regularly manage Lee's practice reps to preserve his health, so his limited session Thursday shouldn't concern fantasy owners heading into the wideout's Week 15 matchup with the Texans. After being held to one reception for 13 yards in a loss to the Cardinals in Week 12, Lee has bounced back with 12 catches for 151 yards and a touchdown over Jacksonville's last two contests.
3:41 pm (EST)
Meyers Leonard Headshot

Leonard (illness) will play in Friday's game against the Magic, Casey Holdahl of Blazers.com reports.

Leonard was only available for Wednesday's game in Miami in an emergency situation, but he appears to have put the bug he was battling behind him in time for the weekend. Leonard will likely return to his spot as the starting center unless Jusuf Nurkic (ankle), who is listed as questionable, is able to return.
3:40 pm (EST)
Hunter Cervenka (L) Headshot

Cervenka was designated for assignment by the Marlins on Thursday.

Cervenka pitched in five games out of the bullpen for the Marlins last season, allowing eight earned runs off one hit and eight walks in 4.2 innings. The 27-year-old southpaw spent most of the year in Triple-A, where he accumulated a 4.58 ERA and 39:26 K:BB.
3:38 pm (EST)
Luc Mbah a Moute Headshot

Mbah a Moute has been diagnosed with a dislocated shoulder and will be reevaluated in one week, Jonathan Feigen of the Houston Chronicle reports.

An MRI performed on the shoulder earlier Thursday came back negative, so he's avoided any significant damage. That said, it's still a dislocation, so Mbah a Moute is going to miss some time while working through the recovery process. He was originally expected to return within 2-to-3 weeks, but it appears the Rockets will reevaluate him weekly with the potential to return earlier than that projected timetable. P.J. Tucker stands to benefit with more minutes off the bench at both forward spots, while Trevor Ariza could pick up some extra playing time as well.
