Tavarres King Headshot

King caught three of his five targets for 48 yards against the Chiefs Sunday.

Sterling Shepard was out sick, and King and co-No. 2 WR Roger Lewis each caught three passes. King has a minor role in the team's below-average offense.

Roger Lewis Headshot

Lewis led the Giants in receiving Sunday with three catches (on four targets) for 55 yards.

With Sterling Shepard missing the game due to an illness, Lewis, Shane Vereen, Tavarres King and Travis Rudolph each had three catches in a low-scoring, low-output passing game. Lewis and King should be the team's co-No. 2's when Shepard returns.

Drew Stanton Headshot

Blaine Gabbert will get the starting nod over Stanton (knee) for Week 12 against the Jaguars, Kyle Odegard of the Cardinals' official site reports.

Stanton is recovering from his knee sprain faster than expected and was even able to serve as the backup in Sunday's 31-21 loss to Houston. The Cardinals likely would give Gabbert another shot even if Stanton were at full strength, as Sunday's loss means the team would probably need to win each of its final six games to have a shot at reaching the playoffs. Given the unlikelihood of that scenario, it makes sense to evaluate the 28-year-old Gabbert, rather than starting a player like the 33-year-old Stanton who's proven to be no better than a competent backup.

Melvin Ingram Headshot

Ingram picked up one tackle and returned a fumble for a touchdown in the 54-24 win over the Bills on Sunday.

Ingram's production has slowed following a torrid five-game stretch to begin the season, but he's still performing exceptionally well opposite standout pass rusher Joey Bosa. With a two week stretch against the Cowboys and Browns next on the schedule, Ingram remains an intriguing IDP option in all formats.
3:48 pm (EST)
Zach Parise Headshot

Parise was placed on long-term injured reserve Monday.

Parise was already expected to be out up to two months after having back surgery in late October. The Wild just took Charlie Coyle off LTIR, and now Parise has moved into that spot.
3:48 pm (EST)
Shane Vereen Headshot

Vereen had two carries for 13 yards and caught all three of his targets for 15 yards Sunday against the Chiefs.

Orleans Darkwa has firmly taken over the team's starting job with Vereen splitting the backup duties with Wayne Gallman and seeing some work on third downs.
3:47 pm (EST)
Stephen Gostkowski Headshot

Gostkowski hit all four of his field-goal attempts in Sunday's 33-8 win over the Raiders, en route to notching 15 points in Week 11.

Aided by the Mexico City altitude, Gostkowski easily hit a career-best 62-yard attempt in the second quarter of the contest. 10 games into the Patriots' 2017 campaign, Gostkowski is on pace to rack up 167 points. His previous season-high is 158 points.
3:45 pm (EST)
Matt Moore Headshot

Dolphins coach Adam Gase suggested Monday that Moore will remain the backup if Jay Cutler (concussion) is healthy enough to play Week 12 against the Patriots, James Walker of ESPN.com reports.

Gase apparently isn't buying into the idea of a quarterback controversy, perhaps remembering Moore's calamitous performance as the starter in a 40-0 loss to the Ravens back in Week 8. Moore undeniably has been effective as a mid-game replacement for Cutler on two occasions this season, highlighted by his 282 passing yards in the second half of Sunday's 30-20 loss to the Buccaneers. While Cutler's seat undoubtedly is getting warm, it sounds as if Moore will only get the Week 12 start if his teammate fails to clear the concussion protocol in time for Sunday's game.
3:44 pm (EST)
Sterling Brown Headshot

Brown was recalled from the G-League on Monday, Matt Velazquez of the Journal Sentinel reports.

Brown spent the weekend with the Wisconsin Herd but will return to the Bucks in advance of Monday's meeting with the Wizards. The rookie out of SMU has not been a part of the rotation, to date, appearing sparingly in only three games for Milwaukee.
3:44 pm (EST)
Chris Thompson Headshot

Redskins head coach said Thompson will undergo surgery this week to repair a fractured right fibula.

The procedure will likely spell an end to what had been a breakthrough season for Thompson, who emerged as the Redskins' top offensive weapon with six touchdowns and 804 total yards through 10 games before suffering the injury while attempting to make a block in the third quarter of Sunday's 34-31 overtime loss to the Saints. With Thompson expected to join Rob Kelley (ankle) on injured reserve in the near future, a workhorse role could be in the offing for rookie Samaje Perine, who had the best game of his young career Sunday, finishing with 117 yards and a touchdown on 23 carries.
