Roger Lewis Headshot

Lewis (ankle) didn't practice Thursday.

Lewis' second straight absence from practice wouldn't seem to portend well for his status for Sunday's game against the Eagles, but even in times of better health, the wideout's fantasy value has been minimal, at best. Since Odell Beckham and Brandon Marshall went down with season-ending ankle injuries in Week 5, Lewis has only managed 20 receptions for 200 yards and a touchdown across eight games in the expanded role.

Semyon Varlamov Headshot

Varlamov will man the crease for Thursday's matchup with Florida, Adrian Dater of BSNDenver.com reports.

After enduring a forgettable, injury-hit 2016-17 campaign, about the only thing that's improved for Varly in 2017-18 is his health. Having already played 19 games, Varlamov is 9-8-1 with a 3.19 GAA and .903 save percentage, making it difficult to justify selecting him for fantasy lineups. Varlamov could have a rare favorable matchup Thursday, though, as he'll be taking on a Panthers squad that scores just 2.25 goals per game on the road -- the second-worst mark in the league.

Ian Mahinmi Headshot

Mahinmi (knee) is listed as questionable for Friday's game against the Clippers in the team's official game notes.

Mahinmi is still battling knee soreness, and it's not clear exactly how severe the injury is. There should be another update on his status following the team's shootaround Friday morning, but whether he plays or not should not have much of an impact on the Wizards' rotation.
3:25 pm (EST)
Rhett Ellison Headshot

Ellison was listed as a limited participant at Thursday's practice due to a finger injury.

Ellison has been limited in both of the Giants' practices to begin the week, though it's not believed that his status for Sunday's game against the Eagles is in any major jeopardy. While Ellison makes his greatest impact for the Giants as a blocker, he was surprisingly involved in the passing game during the Week 14 loss to the Cowboys, catching four of five targets for 20 yards and his second touchdown of the season.

Matt Murray Headshot

Murray will be between the pipes for Thursday's clash with Vegas.

Murray returns to the crease just in time to face off against former mentor and Penguin Marc-Andre Fleury. As soon as the Flower was selected by the Golden Knights, this matchup was likely circled on both netminder's calendars, so it shouldn't come as a surprise that they recovered from injury in time to be available. Look for both guys to have that extra motivation to try to make this a goaltending battle for the ages.

David Morgan Headshot

Morgan (concussion) put in a full practice Thursday.

After kicking off Week 15 preparations with a limited practice Wednesday, Morgan's full participation Thursday suggests he's continued to progress through the NFL's concussion protocol. He'll still need to receive clearance from an independent neurologist to suit up Sunday against the Bengals, but if that happens, Morgan could be in store for his highest snap total of the season. The only other tight ends on the roster, Kyle Rudolph (ankle) and Blake Bell (shoulder), were both absent from practice Thursday for the second straight day, leaving the availability of both players for the weekend on shaky ground.
3:18 pm (EST)
Nicholas Morrow Headshot

Morrow is expected to occupy a starting role at weakside linebacker for the remainder of the season following Cory James' (knee) placement on injured reserve, Scott Bair of NBC Sports Bay Area reports.

James has been troubled by knee issues all season and missed the Raiders' last two games before being shut down for good. While James was sidelined the past two games, Morrow has risen to the forefront, producing 16 tackles and holding his own in coverage. Morrow could be worth a look in deeper IDP settings down the stretch now that he has a clear path to heavy snaps.
3:13 pm (EST)
Tyler Johnson Headshot

Johnson (migraine) is not listed on the injury report for Friday's game against the Hornets, Ira Winderman of the South Florida Sun Sentinel reports.

Johnson had been dealing with a migraine Wednesday that prevented him from playing against the Trail Blazers, but it looks like he has put the pain behind him and will return to the floor Friday in Charlotte. Wayne Ellington played 32 minutes off the bench Wednesday in Johnson's absence and scored 24 points, but he'll likely go back to splitting minutes with Johnson upon the guard's return Friday.

Luc Mbah a Moute Headshot

An MRI on Mbah a Moute's shoulder revealed nothing significant and he could return with 2-to-3 weeks, Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN reports.

Mbah a Moute suffered the injury during Wednesday's contest, as he landed awkwardly following a dunk attempt. While it was originally feared to be a significant injury, a follow-up MRI has cleared him of anything overly serious. That said, Mbah a Moute is still slated to miss at least a couple of weeks, so the Rockets will be without him for the foreseeable future. With Mbah a Moute out, P.J. Tucker stands to benefit the most off the bench with added playing time at both forward spots.
3:10 pm (EST)
Allen Hurns Headshot

Hurns (ankle) was listed as a limited practice participant Thursday.

Hurns hasn't played since Nov. 12, but his return to practice Thursday, albeit in a limited capacity, signals that he has a shot to return to action as soon as Sunday's game against the Texans. If he is able to return to action this weekend, it's unclear how involved Hurns would be in the Jaguars passing game out of the gate, with fellow wideouts Marqise Lee, Dede Westbrook and Keelan Cole also in the mix.
