Week 3 is quite possibly the most important week of the Fantasy Football Season. There is a monumental difference between being 1-2 at the end of this week and 0-3. Furthermore, think about the big emotional difference in being 2-1 as opposed to 1-2? Not to mention that this is the last week until basically the Fantasy Playoffs where each team is playing. The next time this happens is Week 13! So, let’s sit back and take a look at who should be in & out of our lineups this week as told by the Week 3 Rankings:
It’s going to seem egotistical but I really hope that you guys pay close attention to my rankings this week as opposed to some of the others that are out there. It amazes me every damn year how dramatic Fantasy Analysts change their mind on players based on a one week performance. But every year heading into week 2 you will notice rankings in which all of the big performers from week 1 are somehow included. It is called chasing and it literally disgusts me to my very core. As you will see in my Week 2 Rankings I am predicting comeback weeks for players like David Wilson, James Jones and Stevan Ridley while others are hyping up Julius Thomas, Joique Bell and Terrelle Pryor. You will thank me later for keeping my sanity in a world of front runners and chasers I can guarantee you that. Here are the Week 2 Rankings:
It is time to transition from draft strategy and ADP’s into usage and matchups. Indeed it is the start to another NFL season. Week 1 is always very difficult to handicap because of all the offseason changes and the general tom foolery that the NFL puts us through in the preseason. Luckily for our dear readers I have been paying very close attention to everything that has happened since the Ravens were hoisting the Lombardi Trophy. These are my Fantasy Football Rankings For Week 1:
It is the final week of the regular season, and I'm sure you are the same as me in thinking, "where did the season go?" Well if your league plays the whole way through, it has gone to the fantasy Super Bowl. There is always the risk of which guys are going to play, which guys are going to sit, and which guys might only play a series, or a quarter, or a half. Is it worth playing, Brees, Brady, Ryan? What player can lead you to the fantasy sports promised land? Hell if I know, but below you will find the final quarterback rankings of the year.
I guess Philip Rivers wasn't happy with me when weeks ago I said that San Diego wasn't going to make the usual late season run that they always make, because all of a sudden the Charger signal caller is white hot and helping his fantasy owners. What the hell happened to Eli Manning last week? If you somehow happen to still be alive after that debacle, look for Manning to shine in the Battle For New York! Can Cam Newton finish his magical rookie season and lead me to victory in a 32 team fantasy league? Will Drew Brees shine again? How long will Aaron Rodgers play? Finish up your fantasy season strong with the Week 16 quarterback rankings.
It is the fantasy playoffs, and is there any more important position than the quarterback? We might have someone that surprises you at the top of the rankings, as well as many of the usual suspects at the top of the list. Aaron Rodgers is having one of the best seasons in the history of quarterbacks in fantasy football, so how does he not end up at the top? What about Brees? Brady? Newton? Is Jesus still going to be in Tebow's corner? Of course he is, but what will he do from a fantasy perspective? All I know is that he is making a believer in me as far as divine intervention is concerned, and if you are all still in your fantasy football playoffs and you either have or will be playing Tebow this weekend you better be going to church this Sunday.
It seems that rarely does the player that we rank as the top at his position actually come through and perform up to that ranking during the regular season. However, in 2011 I don't think there is much doubt that Aaron Rodgers owns that distinction and should continue it this week against the Raiders. He is closing in on 4,000 yards already and has 37 touchdown passes against just five picks. In a word, DAAAAAAAAMN! So, for the rest of us who didn't want to use a first round pick on the guy, who are we starting at quarterback this week? If you really take a look at who half the league is starting, you really will want to vomit. Hopefully you have one of these guys in the top dozen, because after that it gets ugly in a hurry. Can Matthew Stafford finish the season strong? How will Michael Vick perform in his first game back? Can Tim Tebow partner with Jesus again this week? It is time for the fantasy playoffs and the only way to survive and advance is check out the quarterback rankings.
As we approach week 13 of the NFL season, the fantasy football playoffs are closing in and it is vital to start all of the right players. The Houston Texans have now lost starting quarterback Matt Schaub and backup quarterback Matt Leinart. Does third string quarterback T.J. Yates have any fantasy value? With Tim Tebow mania sweeping the nation, we have to question how he ranks among fantasy quarterbacks. Matt Ryan is starting to prove himself as an elite quarterback in reality, but is he an elite fantasy option? Will Cam Newton finish the season with the most rushing touchdowns of any player in the league? Does Dan Orlovsky break the top 25 after being named the Colts starter this week? Will Brees, Brady, and Rodgers continue their dominance of NFL defenses? All your questions will be answered in this week’s quarterback ranking.
Stop! Hainie Time! The Bears had the biggest loss this past week with Jay Cutler missing most, if not all of the rest of the season after needing thumb surgery. How will the Bears' new signal caller handle his promotion? Does he have any fantasy value? By taking a look at the quarterback rankings you will see that I am expecting a wild shootout on Thanksgiving Day! Three of the six quarterbacks who will be playing are in the top four of the rankings, and only Alex Smith doesn't crack the top 17. After last week's performance, what miracles can we expect out of Tim Tebow against the Chargers? Can the guy really pull out another win? And what about his fantasy value, is he still a guy you should start? Matt Leinart returns to a starting roll this week for the first time in a long time, can he possibly turn in a good performance this go around? We are just around the corner from the fantasy playoffs, so never have your roster choices been more crucial. Good luck to everyone in their matchups!
It has been a roller coaster season for the quarterback of the Lone Star State, but let's be honest folks, whether you love him or hate him (yes, I'm talking to you Carrie Underwood!), Romo is on a serious roll and is having himself another fine fantasy season. Can it continue this week against the Redskins? How can a quarterback who only completes two passes the entire game actually score you more than 15 fantasy points? The only way this is possible is if Jesus is on your side, or the side of your fantasy quarterback, and that is why Tim Tebow is still in the top ten of fantasy quarterbacks heading into Week 11. I am concerned that this week Tebow doesn't play on the day of worship, yet plays on Thursday night, but even that can't stop him from helping your fantasy team. Now that Michael Vick isn't playing, what can we expect from Vince Young? From the rankings below, you will get my feeling on it. Will Cam Newton bounce back from a horrible week? Can Aaron Rodgers continue to torture NFL defensive coordinators? Will Ryan Fitzpatrick right the ship? What about Philip Rivers? Who the F is Tyler Palko? Is there anything creepier than Jeff Mans' chest goatee? The answer to that one is no, but the answer to all of your quarterback questions will be answered with the Week 11 rankings.
