Daniel Nava Headshot

Daniel Nava is out of the Angels lineup on Wednesday.

Gregorio Petit will get the start for Nava in left field today against the Royals and starter Danny Duffy. Petit is hitting .200 this season against lefties and will bat 8th in the lineup tonight. He is not a good option for DFS lineups tonight.

Lucas Harrell Headshot

Newly acquired Lucas Harrell will join the Rangers rotation.

Rangers GM Jon Daniels says that Harrell will join the rotation after being acquired in a trade from the Braves on Wednesday. Harrell earned a spot in the Braves rotation on July 2 and has had a successful month of July. In 5 starts, Harrell has a 3.38 ERA, 1.26 WHIP and 21/12 K/BB ratio in 29.1 innings with 2 wins. The move to Texas should mean more wins for the 31 year-old righty, but he is still has very little value in season-long fantasy leagues. He could become a cheap value in DFS if he continues to succeed. He started on Tuesday and could start again on Sunday for Texas.

Ji-Man Choi Headshot

Ji-Man Choi is out of the Angels lineup on Wednesday.

Jefry Marte will fill in for Choi at first base Wednesday against the lefty Danny Duffy. Marte will bat 5th, but has only hit .172 against lefties this season with 2 home runs in 29 at bats. This is a situation to avoid in DFS.

Matt Duffy Headshot

Rangers designated Matt Duffy for assignment on Wednesday.

Just four days after Duffy was claimed off waivers by the Rangers, they have designated him for assignment. Duffy didn’t play a game with the Rangers, and has only appeared in 3 games this season of the Astros. If Duffy clears waivers he could have a role in the Rangers minor league system.

Dirk Nowitzki Headshot

Mavericks make Dirk Nowitzki's signing official on Wednesday.

The future hall of famer will get $50 Million over the next two seasons to play for the team he has played for since he was drafted in 1998. The 38 year old Nowitzki played 31.5 MPG in 75 games last season averaging 18.3 points, 6.5 rebounds and 1.8 assists per game. 2016 will be his 19th season in the NBA and he still hasn’t shown a ton of signs of slowing down yet.

Rich Hill Headshot

Rich Hill's blister has begun to heal and he thinks he'll be able to start on Sunday.

This news assumes that Rich Hill will not be traded before Sunday’s start with the August 1 trade deadline looming. Hill hasn’t pitched since July 17 waiting for this blister to heal. Before this injury, Hill was having a great season. He has a 2.25 ERA, 1.09 WHIP, 90/28 K/BB ratio and a record of 9-3. The A’s southpaw has been rumored as a potential trade piece because of his performance this season.
