Week two of the fantasy football playoffs is among us and the tight end position is a very important one going forward. The two-headed monster in New England has led you to the fantasy playoffs, can they now bring you the rest of the way to the championship? What about Jermichael Finley and Vernon Davis? They have been two of the bigger disappointments, but now can they step up when you need them most? Which under the radar guy will surprise you and do well? All of your answers are here in the Week 15 Tight End Rankings.
OK, OK, I have been trying to fight it. I have been trying to mix it up and put different players from time to time at the top of the rankings because I think it is boring to just go with chalk and put Rob Gronkowski at the top every single week, but damn it after last week I just have to go with which guy is the best at the position and there is no doubt that is Gronkowski. Jermichael Finley and Vernon Davis actually are also starting to show some signs of life towards the end of their disappointing seasons, and then we have some of the usual standbys rounding out the top ten. Which tight end will lead your team to victory? If you have Fred Davis, what the hell are you going to do now? The guy you need to pick up is right here below in the tight end rankings.
Tight ends continue to be major contributors to your fantasy team, although many of those that we expected to be the ones putting up points continue to disappoint, including Vernon Davis, Antonio Gates, Jermichael Finley, and Zach Miller. However, saving others' fantasy seasons are the two headed monster in New England, Owen Daniels, Jake Ballard, and Fred Davis. Which of your guys will be rocking out the fantasy points this week? Is it really possible for opposing defenses to be unable to stop Hernandez and Gronkowski? How are two tight ends on the same team really fantasy relevant? Is Antonio Gates healthy? Are any other tight ends going to break out before the end of the season? If you have one of the players on bye this week and need a replacement, look no further than the Week 9 tight end rankings.
This has certainly been a golden season for tight ends, as so many guys are stepping up and providing their fantasy owners with major points on a weekly basis. Fred Davis made his presence felt with Chris Cooley officially out, Antonio Gates made his return, and Jared Cook found the end zone for the Titans. The good news for fantasy owners is that the Dynamic Duo of tight ends in New England are off of their bye and can go back into your lineups, as well as Jason Witten, and Vernon Davis. What was once a black hole of fantasy sucking, but now is an integral part of your lineups. The contenders are definitely separating themselves from the pretenders in your fantasy leagues, and only contenders will really read the Week 8 Tight End rankings. You are a contender, aren't you?
