Wow, this is a week where a lot of the star receivers are going to be out of lineups as the likes of Hakeem Nicks, DeSean Jackson, Wes Welker, and Stevie Johnson will all be on your fantasy benches this week. Who is going to step up and put up the points that you need to win your matchups? Mike Sims-Walker and Brandon Lloyd switched teams this week, which one might step up their game? There are a number of guys I like to step up this week like Greg Little in Cleveland, Torrey Smith in Baltimore, and Doug Baldwin in Seattle. There are also a number of newcomers to the wide receiver rankings this week as many of us will be making roster moves in order to fill out your lineups. Take a look at what you need to win in Week 7 by checking out these wide receiver rankings.
As always, the wide receiver position is the one that changes the most from week to week and from month to month. I have a new man love and he comes from the Buckeye State and is my favorite to come in SECOND in the race for Offensive Rookie of the Year behind Cam Newton. Speaking of Cam, his emergence has brought new fantasy value to that team's top receiver and has once again made him a top ten average at the position. There is also a new top dog, or so it seems in Oakland, and he has also made his way to the top ten of this week's rankings. I have also found a correctino in rankings for guys like Marques Colston, Roddy White, and Mike Williams. Where do these guys end up this week? You will have to find out for yourselves in this week's wide receiver rankings.
It has been the year of the wide receiver so far in fantasy football as you have Calvin Johnson catching two touchdowns a week and Wes Welker absolutely tearing up opposing secondaries. As with my declaration with Cam Newton in the quarterback rankings, I am going to make the same about A.J. Green here. He is going to be a guy you want to start every week people! The guy is going to be a fantasy producer each and every week and needs to be in your lineups any time he is on the field. I have also found that I am liking Sidney Rice more than I thought I did, and I am starting to sour some on Mike Williams of Tampa Bay. What else can you expect from your wide receivers this week? Enjoy reading below in the Week 5 wide receiver rankings.
All I know is one thing. I've got a fever! And the only cure is more Sanzenbacher! The Bears' undrafted free agent wide receiver caught a touchdown for the second consecutive game, and even though he is short and white, he has at least gained my attention. In a short pass, pass happy offense, Sanzenbacher is at least worth a roster spot as long as he is producing. Injuries to stars such as Hakeem Nicks and Dez Bryant again make setting your rosters difficult, and what can you count on from Marques Colston in his first game back from injury (here's a hint, he ain't on this list!). I would also like to point out to the person who tweeted Fantasy Alarm this past weekend that I had forgotten to include Brandon Marshall that I knew that he wasn't going to have a big week and that is why he wasn't on the list.........ok, that's not true, it was my mistake, but hey it sounded good for a second! Wide receiver is definitely the most fluid and deep position in fantasy football, but it is also the hardest to gauge as it seems sometimes that guys' fortunes change greatly from week to week. However, the league has turned into a pass heavy sport, so the decisions you make here are probably the most crucial of your week.
