The big running back news of the week is the Bills loss of Fred Jackson for the season, so now we will see what former first round pick C.J. Spiller is made out of. And what about the chances of Tashard Choice now that he is on his third team this season. What are the chances of Adrian Peterson playing this week? I'm telling you to forget about it now, but who carries the ball in Minnesota, you might be suprised who is on these rankings from the Vikings because it certainly won't be Toby Gerhart people. Before you carve out that Thanksgiving turkey, be sure to have all of your lineups set for this week and don't miss the Week 12 running back rankings.
The man in the Windy City is back at the top of the rankings for the first time in a few weeks, as Forte is having a magical season, but what about this guy in the picture? Our colleague at Sirius/XM Fantasy Sports Radio had himself a hell of a game in Week 10 against the Colts, and now the question for the Magic 8 Ball Rankings are, can he do it again? More questions for the Magic 8 Ball are: Will Felix Jones ever touch the ball again for the Cowboys? (he shouldn't), Is the magic of the Buffalo Bills season and that of Fred Jackson wearing off? (not for Fred Jackson, but yes for the Bills), Is Chris Johnson officially back? (too cloudy to tell yet), and does Tiffany want to go to the dance with me on Friday? (signs pointing to no!) Damn it! Stupid 8 ball. Well, you can still get some good news about your roster from the Week 11 running back rankings.
The cream of the crop is rising in fantasy football running backs, and I have to say that we didn't expect some of these guys to be here. You might find it surprising to see a guy playing the New York Jets to be at the top of the rankings, but Fred Jackson has been among the elite this season at the position, and the Jets have given up far more yards on the ground than we ever anticipated. Frank Gore looks like he has turned back the clock as the surprising 49ers continue to dominate their schedule, although I am not 100% sure that this will last the rest of the season. Will he run against the Redskins? Can Matt Forte continue his dominating season? How will Ray Rice follow up his three touchdown performance? Check out all of the answers in the Week 9 running back rankings.
Who was that running back for Houston last week who looked like Arian Foster? Oh wait, it was ARIAN FOSTER! He looked like the guy lots of you drafted as the number one overall pick as the offensive line was just opening up gaping holes for both Foster and Tate to run through. This season's biggest surprise, Fred Jackson, will be back on the field, and should have another great game against the Redskins. The biggest performer of Week 7, DeMarco Murray, finds his way into the top dozen. Who will run the ball for the suspended Cedric Benson this week? Has Montario Hardesty completely taken over in Cleveland? With Willis McGahee out how high can Knowshon Moreno go? All of that and stay tuned to Fantasy Alarm for upcoming pictures of my big Twitter bet win in which Steven Jackson outperformed Jackie Battle. Looking forward to the pics Allen Sarvinas! And of course, don't forget the Week 8 rankings.
Ray Rice comes off of the bye and goes right to the top of the running back rankings as the Ravens have been absolutely rushing through the NFL and the Texans' defense hasn't been exactly stellar. As far as the rest of the league is concerned, we also have to realize that Fred Jackson is going to be a top ranked running back for most of the football season, as well as Ryan Torain being a top flight start for Week 6. I have also gained more respect for Maurice Jones-Drew than I had before the season started, as well as Jonathan Stewart. How will the absences of Brandon Jacobs, Joseph Addai and LaGarrette Blount effect your fantasy team? Running back starters are always hard to figure out while the bye weeks are in full effect so now more than ever you need to check out the Week 6 rankings.
The ever changing world of NFL running backs continues to run wild as we hit the quarter pole of the 2011 NFL season. The biggest story from last week was the emergence of the Dolphins' Daniel Thomas as a legitimate guy to have in your lineup on a weekly basis. How will the situation in Houston break down this week as coach Gary Kubiak seems to have given Arian Foster a vote of confidence for this week. Can Adrian Peterson and Darren McFadden continue their great starts? Will Chris Johnson and Rashard Mendenhall continue to struggle? How will Bernard Scott due in the absence of Cedric Benson in Cincinnati? Has Jahvid Best fallen out of favor with his fantasy owners? Look no further than Fantasy Alarm's rankings when you are setting your lineups each and every week.
