Andrew Luck Headshot

Andrew Luck (shoulder) is expected to start throwing in three months.

Again, this stuff is so far off and we have no way of knowing how his shoulder is going react at this point. The expectation is three months but a "full return" probably isn't likely for six month after undergoing surgery after the season. The hope is that he can be back practicing in full by mid-July which means he'll miss most of the Colts offseason program. As of right now, there is a good chance that he'll be ready to go Week 1 but there is so much that could happen between now and then.

Quincy Acy Headshot

Quincy Acy has signed a second 10-day contract with the Brooklyn Nets.

We have seen Acy make four very brief appearances for the Nets and made a nice impression averaging 6.3 points and 2.0 rebounds in just 7.5 minutes per game. We don't see his role growing much at this point, so fantasy owners can just ignore him on waiver wires.

Adrian Peterson Headshot

Adrian Peterson has said he’d like to stay with the Vikings. Teammate Chad Greenway thinks there’s a good chance Peterson won’t be back.

Oh, that's really nice Chad, so glad we could get your take on Adrian Peterson's future with the team. AD would of course love to finish his career in Minnesota but that just might not be in the cards as he is owed $17.75 million in salary and bonuses next season, which is just way too much to pay any running back these days especially one that's 33 and coming off a knee injury. My guess is that he's played his last game in purple but who knows what happens this off-season.

Michael Saunders Headshot

Michael Saunders has passed his physical exam.

This passed physical just means that the deal is now official between the Phillies and Michael Saunders is now official. He signed a one-year, $9 million contract with an $11 million club option for 2018. I think Saunders was surprised at the lack of opportunities that were presented to him this off-season but not really surprising when you look at his second half of 2016. He might end up being a great buy low pick up for the Phillies as they continue their rapid organizational rebuild. If he does get off to a good start in 2017, the Phillies would have a nice piece to trade at the deadline to acquire more young talent. He finished 2016 with a .815 OPS and 24 homers in 140 games last year with Toronto.

Marcus Mariota Headshot

Tennessee Titans head coach Mike Mularkey says quarterback Marcus Mariota is on track in his rehab from a broken leg and doing great.

When I hear news like this, especially before the NFL season is even over, I'm like, yea that's all well and good but lets really wait and see where he's at once OTAs roll around. Right now, we believe he should be ready to go for Week 1 of the 2017 season but there is so much time between now and then. Mariota had a break out season in 2016 and everyone can only hope that he continues to progress in 2017 especially with such a great running game to support him.

Kevin Love Headshot

Kevin Love (back) status for Thursday remains in question.

Love did participate in morning shoot around but it was limited which makes him questionable for Thursday night's game against the Suns. We heard Love say after the Cavs loss to the Warriors on Monday night that he wouldn't miss any additional time, but this is looking more and more like a game time decision. LeBron James and Kyrie Irving will be popular DFS plays especially if Love sits, but Channing Frye might draw some interest as well.

Geronimo Allison Headshot

Geronimo Allison (leg) is expected to play Sunday.

Allison has been dealing with a hamstring issue since the Packers win over the Cowboys on Sunday. He said on Wednesday that he sat out of practice "for precautionary reasons." He is expected to play but there is no gaurantee that he doesn't have a set back between now and Sunday. Keep your eye on the reports as we get closer to game time. They will need him with question marks around the status of both Jordy Nelson and Davante Adams for this weekend.

Davante Adams Headshot

Davante Adams (sprained ankle) is expected to play against the Falcons.

This is an initial report from Ian Rapaport of NFL Network which seems a bit premature being that Mike McCarthy just said on Monday that he didn't expect Adams back at practice until Saturday. It would be great for the Packers to have him back in the lineup especially when it looks like Jordy Nelson will miss the NFC Championship game with his rib injury.

Tyson Chandler Headshot

Tyson Chandler (illness) said he'll play in Thursday's game.

It will be good to get Chandler back in the Suns lineup especially since he's been averaging 8.7 points and 15.5 boards per game during the month of January. He missed Monday's game against the Jazz with a stomach bug but seemed to be recovering nicely. Chandler is averaging over 30 minutes game which makes him worth owning standard leagues while Alex Len should still have value off the bench.

Joakim Noah Headshot

Joakim Noah is doubtful for Thursday.

The big man is nursing an ankle injury that sidelined him on Wednesday and will need an MRI to find out the extent of the injury. While Noah is out, Kyle O’Quinn and Willy Hernangomez will get a boost in minutes. O’Qunn struggled as a starter on Wednesday with Noah sidelined, but Hernangomez thrived as he scored 17 points and recorded 11 rebounds. It will be interesting to see how the minutes shake out moving forward.
