It’s time for your weekly damage assessment again. No way can you go through a week’s worth of games and not have some injuries to report, right? Thankfully, there aren’t too many to report, but there are some that are significant. Some will obviously have a more lengthy impact than others, but you should stay on top of each and every one to make sure anything that could possibly impact your roster or affect your road to the championship. Here’s what the injury report looks like post-Week 8.
Relatively speaking, it was an easy week for fantasy owners as the NFL’s fourth week wrapped up without too many impact injuries. Through the first three weeks, it seemed like this season was headed for disaster, but as players are getting more work in and putting the short pre-season behind them, fantasy owners should be able to breathe a little easier. The fantasy playoffs are here and I bet that some teams are sitting home this week after some of your studs that helped you get there either disappeared or were unable to finish the game. It is impossible not to acknowledge the streak of Brett Favre coming to an end, and his protégé Aaron Rodgers left with a concussion the same week. There is plenty of news on guys who will be returning, might not come back at all this season, and of course those who weren't able to stay on the field to the final gun. The injury report gets more important each week now as we creep ever closer to the fantasy playoffs. Now is the time that you HATE to see your players show up in this article. The status of Hakeem Nicks and Vince Young lead the way as well as who might not be able to go on Thanksgiving. When will Tony Romo be back? Will Ryan Torain be back in Week 12? Who the hell is going to quarterback for the Browns this week? Does it matter if Brandon Marshall is injured or not? Read on and find out and of course don't forget that you need the Fantasy Alarm service as you can't afford to start a player who isn't going to play as we get into December.
