No position is as negatively effected by off-week's as that of running back. It's not even close. There are plenty of quarterbacks and pass catchers around to fill a bye week hole for a week. Matt Forte and Maurice Jones-Drew owners, I feel your pain. You don't know how much they mean to you, until they're gone. Those owners throwing darts with Carolina and New Orleans backfields, might have even found a more reliable option this past week. Week seven is the busiest bye week of the season and plenty of 'hurtin to go around. Michael Turner, Willis McGahee, Jammal Charles, Reggie Bush and all-world backs Ryan Matthews and LeSean McCoy will leave gaping holes in fantasy lineups this weekend.

Running Backs
How far have running backs fallen in NFL passing games? How about no more than six are averaging more than four targets per game! Cincinnati running back Cedric Peerman sticks out like a sore thumb atop this week's list. Anytime you join Adrian Peterson, McCoy and Dexter McCluster in passing game production, you will garner attention. Bush's game is not complete unless he is delivering here and Buffalo has figured out how to have Fred Jackson and C.J. Spiller co-exist. Just when it looked like Rashard Mendenhall was the main, here comes Ike Redman (due to injury). Danny Woodhead sightings across fantasy league rosters in the midst of bye weeks. Conventional thinking said Steven Jackson would handle the early downs and Daryl Richardson-distance, but it appears they are trying a straight split of time. A pedestrian effort by Vic Ballard in his first start, but with a lack of better option, he gets another shot this week. We expect more in the air from Charles and Trent Richardson needs more attention to continue his ascent towards the every down elite. Felix Jones and DeMarco Murray with great numbers on the ground, guess they were too tired when Tony Romo was in shotgun. Shonn Greene had a career performance, but he used every ounce of effort toting the rock. Do not fret Ben Tate owners, he is reportedly back to full strength.

Tight Ends
Tight ends aren't getting ignored in NFL passing games to the extent that running backs are, but studs are few and far between. Only half a dozen at the position are averaing seven targets or more per game. If you are in an incredibly small or inatentive league, you may still have a shot to land Kyle Rudolph. The former Notre Dame All-American has quickly moved into the upper echelon at the position. With Tony Gonzalez and Antonio Gates off this week, several owners in your league are facing a football version of a "financial cliff" in points this week. Aaron Hernandez returned with a bang and his presence seemed to motivate Rob Gronkowski as well. Michael Vick looked Brent Celek's way eight times on Sunday, but most only remember his two "near" touchdowns. Joel Dressen is a new enemy of Jacob Tamme fans in Denver. As Jermichael Finley continues to hobble, Tom Crabtree is the clear alternaive if you have a need to remain linked with Aaron Rodgers. Jared Cook had injury concerns, although healthy by most accounts- he is still searching the successes he found in the second half of 2011. Fred Davis was becoming a very popular choice among fantasy owners, but took at small step back on Sunday. Scott Chandler was only targeted three times, but his damage all comes on the goal line, not through quantity. What's going on with Martellus Bennett you may be asking? After a torrid start, Bennett is setting in to more realistic numbers- which when averaged out- remain considerable.
