If you are reading this, chances are you are still alive in your playoff hunt. I helped create my league, back in the mid 1980's, before the Internet, before thoughts even crossed the mind of editors of including fantasy in books and magazines. Our regular season last 16 weeks, with all tie breakers taking place in week 17. If teams tie, they settle things in the final week, no head to head or points scored to determine who gets in, head to head on the field. Six of 12 teams in our league make the post season and I'll share that with you when we look at running backs and tight ends.

Wide Receivers
Brandon Marshall was the clear leader in week 14, targeted 19 times as the Bears try to avoid a monumental, slow, painful crash. With Brandon Pettigrew's first quarter injury on Sunday night, Matt Stafford now has no targets other than Megatron. In most cases, double coverage and over the top help would shut down a team's sole threat, not Calvin Johnson. With DeSean Jackson down, Jeremy Maclin the go to guy for Nick Foles, problem is, Maclin is anything but healthy heading to week 15. Steve Smith is Cam's go to guy with Greg Olsen providing at least an alternative. Josh Gordon continues to emerge and is a big time play against the Redskins defense on Sunday. Jason Avant has taken DeSean's spot in Philly and figures to move into the lead role if Maclin can't go this weekend. Cecil Shorts was out on Sunday and Justin Blackmon stepped up in his place. Michael Crabtree has effectively become the top target in the new San Francisco passing game. Whatever happened to Robert Meachum? The numbers that Danario Alexader is collecting is what many of us were expecting from him. As long as Danny Amendola isn't full speed, expect Chris Givens to continue to get Sam Bradford's attention. Andre Roberts showed signs mid-season, but not even Larry Fitzgerald can overcome the dreadful quarterback play in the desert. After several big time games after Thanksgiving, T.Y.Hilton is losing targets to not only Reggie Wayne but Donnie Avery as well. Andrew Luck is big time, but you add the rookie tight end tandem and sometimes there just aren't enough targets to go around. With Jordy Nelson out, I was really counting on James Jones on Sunday night.... not. Sidney Rice had a quiet Sunday, but the Seahawks were so far ahead, so early that all starters were sitting early in third quarter. With Big Ben back, I thought we might get an Emmanuel Sanders sighting, but now he's hurt again. Could Jonathan Baldwin do something in Kansas City? Someone is going to have to step up with Dwayne Bowe out. I know some of you were counting on Drew Brees to carry you to victory this weekend, if Marques Colston and Lance Moore were part of than plan, you may have already been eliminated. All the "experts" were loading up on Anquan Boldin and Torrey Smith in Washington and Boldin did get in the end zone twice, but the duo were only targeted three times apiece.
