After sitting out two consecutive days with a quad injury, Tulowitzki feels well enough to play on Friday. Tulowitzki hasn't played well at all this season hitting just .209. We're not sure if he'll continue to stink it up but only time will tell. Right now he's a mediocre fantasy option at best.
The Blue Jays recently moved Jose Bautista into the leadoff role but with Joey Bats serving his one-game suspension on Friday, Carrera will be called upon to head the Jays lineup. Carrera has performed well this season hitting .333 although it's been in a limited role.
Teixeira received a cortisone shot on Thursday and was originally projected to miss three days before returning. This is day two and he should return to the Yankees lineup at some point this weekend. Consider him day-to-day at this point.
This is nothing more than a standard day off for Ortiz. Hanley Ramirez will move from first to DH and Travis Shaw will shift over from third to first. Ortiz started Friday as the MLB leader in RBI and is right in the thick of things in the AL MVP race.
Eaton will get a day off against a lefty as Austin Jackson leads off and plays center. Jackson has had previous success against Danny Duffy, going 8-for-25 with a home run. Jackson could be a solid, cheap DFS play for Friday's slate.
After losing his appeal, Bautista will serve his suspension on Friday. Bautista has been in the leadoff hole of late and the team will miss his presence against Red Sox starter Joe Kelly.
