As we head down the home stretch, fantasy owners are either battling down to the wire, or trying to improve on 2014. It is easy to focus on categories to try and make your move, but often time "reaching" for a category will hurt you substantially in others. If you are in rebuild mode, there is plenty of young talent already in the majors and much more coming in two weeks. Good luck and don't spend too much time on football at the expense of your baseball team!
As we hit the All-Star break, many leagues also pass their trading deadline. When trading is no longer an option, free agency and waivers become even more important. "Real Life" trades also figure to play a major factor with veterans like Matt Garza (pictured) possibly on the move. Many times during the season, our weekly list has a nice piece or two, lacking depth... but this week is different. I feel there are a number of players featured in this week's edition of Waiver Flavor that can help your team in the short... and long term. I should note that three pitchers made an appearance this week, but were promptly sent back to the minors. Cleveland's Danny Salazar and Houston's Jarred Cosart had outstanding performances, while the pitcher with the best track record, Erasmo Ramirez of Seattle, was shelled. Depending on your particular league rules, I beleive each is worthy of "stashing".
