As we pass the one-third mark of the season and quickly ride towards July and the All-Star break, who are the minor league players that will soon be on your radar? We have seen some elite talent get the call, some directly from Double-A, skipping Triple-A altogether! Much of fantasy baseball and fantasy sports in general is anticipating moves in advance of your competition. With that in mind, the first of our four part series looking at Triple-A players with fantasy appeal in 2013. We begin with American League position players.

Wil Myers Tampa Bay OF- The obvious top choice, when will Tampa make the move? We heard a move was coming, then team officials said no. In 61 games at Triple-A Durham, Myers has 13 home runs, 55 RBI with seven stolen bases and a .281 average. All contract concerns should have passed or will so soon.
Xander Bogaerts Boston SS- Although he won't turn 21 until the season's final week, Bogaerts is quickly climbing the minor league ladder. Bogaerts was bumped up to Triple-A Pawtucket this week. At Double-A Portland, Bogaerts had six home runs, 35 RBI with five stolen bases and a .311 batting average.
Nick Castellanos Detroit OF- Blocked at third base for obvious reasons, Castellanos has been learning to play the outfield. Recent reports indicate that Castellanos may soon get the call. At Triple-A Toledo, Nick has ten home runs, 38 RBI with a stolen base and a .301 batting average.
Mike Olt Texas 1B- Are the vision problems solved? Perhaps rushed to the majors, opinions on Olt's major league future are mixed. Olt was bumped up to Round Rock at the beginning of the month where he has four home runs, 11 RBI but an dreadful .188 average. Olt played in only three games at Double-A Frisco.
Grant Green 2B Oakland- Former number one pick needs to make a move or his "prospect" status will be a thing of the past. Turning 26 in September, Green has seven home runs, 39 RBI with four stolen bases, while hitting .297 over 60 games.
Jackie Bradley Boston OF- Bradley performed slightly better the second time around, when will he get the call for good? In his two brief stints in Boston, Bradley struggled at .154 in 52 at bats. Still barely 23 years old, Bradley has been raking at Triple-A Pawtucket at a .348 clip.
Dustin Ackley Seattle 2B- With Nick Franklin quickly becoming a fixture at second base, perhaps the Ackley to outfield talk will eventually happen. Ackley has more than earned a recall during his 15 game stint in Tacoma, hitting a blistering .406 with a pair of home runs and eight RBI.
Michael Choice Oakland OF- Former Texas center fielder has moved to the corner outfield and making a steady climb through the ranks. Choice has played well in 62 games at Triple-A Sacramento with ten home runs, 47 RBI and a .290 average. Choice was the tenth overall pick in the 2010 draft.
Jonathan Schoop Baltimore 2B- Brian Roberts is about to make another comeback, but Buck Showalter is getting impatient and demands a strong middle of the infield defensively. Schoop is currently sidelined with a stress fracture in his back with a return next month. Schoop was hitting .268 at Triple-A Norfolk.
