Two of the most highly regarded prospects in the American League and perhaps all of Major League Baseball got the call this week. The Texas Rangers brought up sensational middle infielder Jurickson Profar, while the Baltimore Orioles handed the ball to former LSU All-American Kevin Guisman. The Tampa Bay Rays looked to lessen the loss of the injured David Price by tabbing Jake Odorizzi, acquired from Kansas City in the offseason in the James Shields deal. More quality help awaits on the farm and we continue to take a look at the possibilities both in the field and on the mound, across each division. We continue with a look at "Who's Next", with the American League's Western Division.

Jonathan Singleton 1B- Singleton's 50-game suspension due to a positive marijuana test, has finally come to an end and he will join Class-A Quad Cities on Memorial Day. Acquired from Philadelphia in the Hunter Pence deal, Singleton homered 21 times and drove in 79 runs in Double-A last season.
Jarred Cosart SP- The top young arm in the Astros organization, Cosart was drafted out of high school, but is slowly working his way towards the majors. Pitching at Triple-A Oklahoma City, Cosart is 4-2 in nine starts, sporting a 2.55 ERA and 1.19 WHIP. 53 strikeouts in 49 innings shows his nasty stuff.
Los Angeles Angels
C.J. Cron 1B- The 6'4" 235 pound Cron has big time power, but was set back a bit due to shoulder surgery. Cron is playing at Double-A Arkansas, hitting .306 with three home runs and 21 RBI in 44 games. The 17th overall pick in the 2011 draft had 27 home runs and 123 RBI at High-A last season.
Nick Maronde RP- With Ryan Madson struggled in his comeback big from surgery, Maronde may be summoned to provide help in short relief. Maronde made three appearances in April with the Angels, but has performed better at Double-A Arkansas with an ERA of 3.85 and 1.39 WHIP with 25 K's in 18 innings of work.
Grant Green 2B- Now 25 years old, the former USC star will be expected to make a move soon. The 2009 first round pick was thought to be ready after hitting .296 with 15 home runs and 13 steals in Triple-A last season. This season, Green is hitting .285 with four home runs, 26 RBI and four stolen bases.
Sonny Gray SP- The former Vanderbilt star was the 18th pick overall in the 2011 draft. The 23 year old Gray is pitching at Triple-A Sacramento, where he is 4-2 over eight starts. Gray has a 2.48 ERA and 1.28 WHIP with 49 strikeouts and 19 walks in 51 innings of work.
Mike Zunino C- After a torrid start, Zunino has struggled with infielder Nick Franklin perhaps now closer to the majors. Jesus Montero was sent to the minors on Friday, so the opportunity is there for Zunino. The former Florida All-American is hitting .231 with eight home runs and 36 RBI over 134 at bats.
Danny Hultzen SP- Hultzen was taken higher in the draft than many scouts expected, as he was expected to be near major league ready after a stellar career at Virginia. Taijuan Walker or James Paxton are also elite prospects and may soon get the call. Hultzen was sidelined with shoulder issues last month.
Mike Olt 1B- A natural third baseman, Olt has been working at first base. Olt had a chance last season, but may have regressed in the pecking order to "The Show". Vision issues were said to be the problem, but its believed they have been corrected. Olt has struggled, going 10-for-72 at Triple-A Round Rock.
Martin Perez SP- Perez was expected to land a job on the Texas staff this season, but a forearm injury in the spring set the timetable back a bit. Recently bumped up to Triple-A, Perez is 1-1 after a pair of starts with an ERA of 3.00 and WHIP of 0.91. A 12-to-1 strikeout to walk ratio is a promising sign.
