Steve Weatherford is considering retirement.

Perry Riley is still in a walking boot after having foot surgery back in December.

Riley (who finished with 43 tackles and two interceptions in nine games last season) injured his foot late last season and was initially slapped with a 3-6 week timetable after requiring surgery to put a pin in his fifth metatarsal. Six months later, the foot is still giving him pain and discomfort. Riley expects to be ready for camp, but is due for a second opinion on his foot soon.

Javier Baez in in the lineup and playing third base on Friday.

With Cubs regular starting third baseman Kris Bryant getting his first start this season at first base today, Javier Baez will slide in and take his place at the third base spot instead. Baez is currently hitting .235 to go along with two home runs, six runs batted in & 11 runs scored in 85 at-bats this year and is not a recommended option to go with in either fantasy or DFS leagues right now.
