Chandler Parsons will not play in Saturdays game against the Timberwolves. He continues to rehab his surgically repaired knee. He was limited in training camp and didn't make any appearances in any of the Grizzles preseason games.
After missing shootaround Friday morning, we were under the impression Nowitzki would be able to play through this illness but that clearly isn't the case as he's been deemed inactive. Nowitzki will be replaced by either Dwight Powell or Justin Anderson. Powell is the more formidable DFS play.
With Brooks still out, Jeff Teague will likely play extended minutes once again with Rodney Stuckey and Joe Young serving as the primary backups. Brooks has proven to be a great backup throughout his career and will continue being so when he does in fact return to action.
Siakam started the first game of the year for the Raps as well, playing 22 minutes while scoring four points and grabbing nine rebounds. He'll likely continue to start until Jared Sullinger returns from injury. He doesn't possess much fantasy value because he doesn't bring much to the table offensively.
Smith started all year in 2015 and started the first game of 2016 as well so this doesn't come as any sort of surprise. Smith will continue to start at shooting-guard as his ability to stroke the three-ball stretches out opposing defenses. Cleveland plays Toronto on Friday who's been a very solid defensive team over the past few years. Smith is always a risky DFS play.
Snell didn't play in the Bucks first game and will be on a pitch count in Game 2. Snell was actually in the running to draw a start, but Matthew Dellevadova started since Snell didn't play. Snell could become somewhat valuable in fantasy when he's taken off of his minutes restriction and gets adjusted to his new team. Wait and see how he fits with the Bucks before making any waiver wire decisions.
Breaux broke his fibula in the first game of the year and is closing in on a return. Breaux practiced on a limited basis this week but isn't ready to return just yet. Breaux will likely return to action in Week 9 if he makes progress during practice next week.
The Seahawks would really like Sowell to be active to protect their QB that has been injured all year. Check back Sunday to see if Sowell will give it a go.
Roberts missed the first game of the season but will be ready to go in Game 2. Roberts is slotted as the teams third string PG so he shouldn't be much of a factor for the Hornets going forward.
With Kaminsky missing his second straight game to start the season, Marvin Williams should see a heavy workload once again. Kaminsky is going to see an extended role this year and if he plays well enough, could end up taking Williams' job. For now, he just needs to get on the court and stay healthy.
