Donatas Motiejunas Headshot

Motiejunas (lower leg) returned to Sunday's tilt against the Thunder after receiving stitches to close a laceration on his left shin.

The Pelicans' medical staff gave the big man the green light to head back into Sunday's game after he got stitches in the locker room. There doesn't seem to be any reason to believe he won't be available to play in the team's next contest Wednesday against the Pistons.

Connor McDavid Headshot

McDavid scored and added a power-play assist in a 5-4 defeat to the Predators on Sunday.

He has officially picked up his game again and has points in seven of his last eight games. During that stretch, he has two goals and 11 points. McDavid went through a little dry spell of five games immediately after the break, but with this latest run, he's back to five points ahead in the scoring race. McDavid has 21 goals and 71 points in 62 games.

Kevin Durant Headshot

Durant (hand) is expected to play in Monday's game against the 76ers barring a setback to his injury, Tim Bontemps of The Washington Post reports.

Durant missed his first game of the season Saturday against the Nets with a hand bruise on his non-shooting hand, but it appears that his injury has improved and he is expected to take the floor for Monday's game. If he experiences an unexpected setback, Patrick McCaw would likely draw the start in his place once more.

James Neal Headshot

Neal picked up three assists, including two on the power play, in a 5-4 victory over the Oilers on Sunday.

Dropping Neal to the bottom-six hasn't exactly worked out for Nashville, as he has just one shot in the last two contests. But he did manage to assist Colin Wilson's goal and pick up two more helpers on the man advantage. Neal now has one goal and 10 points in the last seven games.

Ryan White Headshot

Arizona traded White, Martin Hanzal, and a 2017 fourth-round draft pick to Minnesota in exchange for a bevy of draft picks and minor leaguer Grayson Downing on Sunday, Bob McKenzie of TSN reports. As such, White will not play the Coyotes' game against the Sabres on Sunday.

White joins his third team in two full seasons after spending the 2015-16 campaign with the Flyers. The Manitoba native was not the focus of this trade (that honor belongs to Hanzal) and will likely continue to be a bottom-six player for his new club. He's recorded seven goals and six assists while averaging 10:57 of ice time so far this season.

Donatas Motiejunas Headshot

Motiejunas is probable to return to Sunday's matchup against the Thunder with a left shin laceration, which will require stitches.

Though the big man suffered a fairly serious cut on his calf, he'll probably return to Sunday's game after getting stitches in the locker room. If he doesn't make it back to the floor, Alexis Ajinca and Dante Cunningham would likely pick up additional minutes.
8:20 pm (EST)
Ryan Ellis Headshot

Ellis posted a power-play goal, three shots and five blocked shots in a 5-4 victory over the Oilers on Sunday.

The 26-year-old defenseman filled the stat sheet once again Sunday and in the process, matched his career high in goals. He now has 10 scores and 28 points, which is also just four shy of a career high. In addition to the offense, Ellis was second only to Roman Josi in ice time and led the Predators in shorthanded minutes, which is where he accumulated most of his blocked shots. Ellis is worth owning in all standard leagues, but he is a particularly intriguing option in formats with time on ice and blocked shots.

Matt Boyd Headshot

Boyd went two scoreless innings in his spring training debut, giving up two hits and striking out two.

Boyd, who appears to have the inside track on the No. 5 spot in the rotation, threw 32 pitches, 23 for strikes. A strong spring would help Boyd hold off the likes of Anibal Sanchez and Mike Pelfrey for that last rotation spot.
