With the 14th pick of the 2016 NFL Draft, the Oakland Raiders select S Karl Joseph from West Virginia University.

Many will consider this a reach, but make no mistake, Joseph is a baller. He is a thumper in the open field and a bulldog in the run game, while he is drawing Earl Thomas comparisons in coverage. Had his knee not been injured this past season, most wouldn’t be considering this a reach, but as the saying goes... “All it takes is one team to fall in love”. Overall solid pick for Oakland, as it fills a definite need and he’s more than talented to make an impact from day one.

Jonathan Villar went 3-for-4 with a double, two runs scored, one walk and three stolen bases during Thursday’s 7-2 loss against the Cubs.

Villar had a huge day on Thursday, reaching base four times and swiping three bags. After Thursday's game, Villar has raised his average to a .262. More importantly, the Brewers leadoff hitter has his OBP sitting at .377. Villar has been exactly what teams should ask for out of their leadoff batter. He has a high on-base percentage and he's stolen five bases. Villar could be valuable in fantasy leagues that concentrate on those two categories more heavily than others.

With the 13th pick of the 2016 NFL Draft, the Miami Dolphins select OT Laremy Tunsil from the University of Mississippi.

It’s a shame that Tunsil’s phone was hacked just minutes before the draft began, as it is widely suspected that his stepfather – who he is locked into a legal battle – tweeted out a picture of him from years ago smoking pot out of a WWI mustard gas mask. Luckily for Miami, just like last season with Leonard Williams falling to the Jets at number six, the Dolphins get arguably the best overall player in the draft in Larmey Tunsil, much later than he was expected to be there. His tape shows in spades, as Tunsil is one of the most light-footed, technically sound, offensive tackle prospects since Tyron Smith. He will plug and play right off the bat for the Dolphins, likely drastically improving the career of Ryan Tannehill, who’s window as a starter seems to be closing fast.

With the 12th of the 2016 NFL Draft, the New Orleans Saints select DE Sheldon Rankins from the University of Louisville.

Rankins is a nimble, sturdy, and technically sound hybrid defensive lineman out of Louisville. He sports an excellent first step, gets his arms extended better than pretty much any other defensive lineman in the draft, and possesses a plethora of polished pass rushing moves that will help him get to the quarterback at the next level. An expected pick, but one of the most quality selections of the draft so far. Fits an absolute need for the Saints here.

Francisco Rodriguez recorded the last out of the game for his fifth save of the season in Thursday’s 7-3 victory against the Athletics.

The Tigers were hoping Rodriguez wouldn’t have to be used for a second straight day but reliever Blaine Hardy got into trouble and K-Rod was called upon for the one out save. Rodriguez got off to an awful start to the season but has only allowed two runs since blowing his first save opportunity of the year. Rodriguez isn’t the strikeout pitcher he used to be, but he’s still a reliable closer for your fantasy team.

Anthony Gose went 2-for-4 with a double, home run (2), two RBI and two runs scored during the Tigers 7-3 victory on Thursday.

Now that Tyler Collins has been sent down, Anthony Gose is the Tigers only option in center field. He responded to the roster move quite nicely, blasting his second homer of the season. Other than Thursday’s game, Gose has been awful recently. He’s gone 3-for-28 since April 16th which is a span of nine contests. Gose isn’t stealing bases either, so he has absolutely no fantasy value.

With the 11th pick of the 2016 NFL Draft, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers select CB Vernon Hargreaves III from Florida State University.

With his feather-light and perfectly synchronized footwork, Vernon Hargreaves achieved the rare three-time first-team All-SEC selection as the top cornerback at Florida. He recorded 10 interceptions during his career and will aptly replace the void at corner that the Bucs have had since the departure of Darrell Revis. He’s physical in the run game and will bring the swagger needed for the position at the next level in one-on-one coverage. Expect Tampa Bay to build their entire secondary around this special corner going forward.

Anibal Sanchez allowed two runs on three hits while striking out nine and walking seven in 5 2/3 innings in Thursday’s victory against the Athletics.

Sanchez could have had a much better outing if it weren’t for the seven walks he allowed. Sanchez has clearly had control problems at the start of this season as he’s walked 16 batters in just 23.2 innings and his WHIP ballooned to 1.86 after Thursday’s start. After having his best professional season in 2013, Sanchez hasn’t been able to regain that form. He’s just not the same pitcher he once was and is quickly losing every ounce of fantasy value he had.

Chris Bassit allowed seven runs on 10 hits with five strikeouts and three walks over 3 2/3 innings in Thursday’s loss against the Tigers.

After two straight solid seven inning outings, Bassitt has now had two straight awful outings. In Thursday’s game he couldn’t even make it out of the fourth inning. He’s now allowed 19 hits over his last two starts which, if you aren’t sure, isn’t very good. Bassitt’s career record is 2-10 for a reason and from here on out he’s likely treading in muddy waters, having to earn his spot in the rotation. His main problem is his control or lack thereof. He’s walked two batters or more in all five of his starts this season. Bassitt is not a reliable fantasy pitcher and shouldn’t get any love, not even in deeper formatted leagues.
