We've checked in on big men around the Association, lets move on to swing men. What are swing men you may be asking? Swing men are players that qualify at shooting guard, small forward, combo forward or in some cases, guard/forward. Swing men are typically your best all-around players who almost always contribute in the scoring category. Swing men are also those you see moved in and out of rosters the most. Lets take a look at those swing men that are beginning to populate rosters and those that have been, or should be on the chopping block. As a reminder, always check your own league for position eligibility.

Shooting Guard

IN

Dion Walters- The Syracuse scoring maching was taken higher in the draft than many expected, but like Tristan Thompson before him, Walters appears to be a solid addition as the team rebuilds around Kyrie Irving. Walters value increases with the Irving injury, look for his ball handling and scoring numbers to increase.

Jordan Crawford- The Wizards are a total mess, but finally made a move then should have made to start the season. Crawford has become the focus of the offense, operating more in a combo guard role, but contributing assists that are more accustomed to point guards. He should be considered, at least until John Wall returns.

J.J. Reddick- Reddick has become a valuable fantasy commodity, no longer just a spot up shooter. Reddick has been contributing across the board and has done so with enough consistency to include on your roster. Reddick's value is such that he can also serve as a starter, not just bench material.

OUT

E'Twaun Moore- Moore was a very popular pick in recent weeks, but certainly takes a hit with the return of Jameer Nelson. A solid college player, Moore was buried on the Boston bench, but still has opportunities on a depleted Orlando roster. More of a shooter, Moore may evolve as a combo guard in support of Nelson and Reddick.

Bradley Beal- Lets not forget that Beal would be just starting his sophomore season had he remained at Florida. Washington put prospects through microscopic workouts prior to the lottery and are convinced he is their man to run alongside Wall. Beal's shooting has been below par thus far and it has effected his overall game in a negative fashion.

Brandon Roy- Minnesota and many fantasy owners took a chance on the former All-Star guard. Most believed that Roy was finished due to the severity and duration of his knee injuries. Roy should be complemented for fighting his way back, but the latest injury setback may be his last.

Forward
IN
Chandler Parsons- Parsons has been white hot for the last week, averaging more than 18 points and 9 rebounds. Parsons is also averaging three assists per game and has emerged from the pack as new leaders take over in Houston. Parsons is a nice compliment to the scoring of James Harden and the inside banging of Omer Asik.
Metta World Peace- Will the new Lakers offense be a good fit for Ron Artest? Metta has scored in double figures every game over the past two weeks. The small forward is a very strong rebounder for the position and may take a large three point shooting role as the Lakers move away from the Princeton offense.
Harrison Barnes- After a very slow start, could Barnes be emerging as the player everyone though he would be coming out of high school? Three of his last four starts have been money, with a pair of them double-double performances. Barnes is averaging nearly 36 mpg over his last four and should be on your roster.
OUT
Ersan Ilyasova- Arguably the biggest disappointment thus far, Ilyasova was a "sleeper" favorite on most everyone's lists. So far, Ilyasova has managed double digits in scoring only three times in nine games and five rebounds per game is far below expectations. Ilyasova may still turn it around, but right now he is a dead roster spot.
Dorrell Wright- The return of Jason Richardson has bumped Evan Turner down to the three and is squeezing Wright out. Turner has proven effective at small forward, even leading the Sixers in rebounding. Wright remains a scoring option, but even in that role, must contend with Nick Young. There are better options moving forward.
Marvin Willams- Was a chance of scenery what Marvin needed? The one time second overall pick showed signs on opening night with 21 points, but has shown only flashes since. Williams ia a power forward, trapped in a small forward's body and will lose more and more minutes to Derrick Favors as the season progresses.
Guard/Forward
IN
Jason Richardson- Richardson has exploded back onto the scene, with a pair of twenty point performances over the past week. Richardson figures to hold down the two guard spot with Nick Young providing relief. Evan Turner is capable of playing anywhere on the perimeter and has shown strength down at the three. Jason is worthy of a shot.
OUT
Kawhi Leonard- Leonard appeared as if he was going to lead the league in steals early on, with five in each of his first two games. Leonard has been bothered by tendinitis in his left knee and now appears sidelined for the next couple of weeks. Steven Jackson is also down which spells increased numbers for Danny Green.
