As we wrap up the early returns around the Association, we take a look at point guards. The elite point guards provide scoring, assists and steals, while the rest contribute in just two or even only one of the categories. Obviously its important to grab your point guards during the draft or auction as the chances of grabbing a "great" one during the season through free agency or waivers is doubtful. The best chance to improve your lot mid-season is to find emerging rookies or players getting increased playing time due to injury. From time to time a point may move to two guard, opening up a spot for some new talent.

IN
Jameer Nelson ORL- Nelson made his debut with a bang on Friday and dished out nine and ten assists in his first two appearances of the season. Nelson has been slowed by illness the last two outings, but is clearly the main man at the point in Orlando.
Luke Ridnour MIN- With the Timberwolves limping along with a slew of injuries, Ridnour has done a solid job running the show. Still capable of putting up good numbers in spurts, Ridnour is simply a place saver until "the franchise" Ricky Rubio returns from injury.
Ramon Sessions CAR- Returning to play near his Myrtle Beach, South Carolina home, Sessions has been working with the Bobcats second unit, but putting up starter's numbers. With nearly 17 points, more than four assists and nearly four rebounds, Sessions could aid any fantasy squad.
Jason Kidd NY- Too old? Not yet! We are only a month into the season, and Kidd will slow as the 82 game grind continues, but for now he has earned a solid role. While you don't want to count on him for starter numbers, he can contribute assists and three pointers in limited action.
Lou Williams ATL- Another player returning home, Williams back in his native Atlanta after eight seasons in Philadelphia. Drafted out of high school, Williams earned a free agent contract with solid play last season. Williams is the top guard off the Hawks bench and scoring at more than 14 points per game.
OUT
A.J. Price WSH- Price peaked with a 14 assist performance back on the 10th, but has been sliding ever since. Price was brought to town when John Wall went down, but is really nothing more than bench help. Jordan Crawford has taken over the point and will have it until Wall returns.
E'Twaun Moore ORL- Moore was a popular pickup early this season, but now has very limited fantasy value with the return of Jameer Nelson. Moore had 16 points off the bench on Sunday, but his line score will do nothing more than frustrate fantasy owners moving forward.
Isiah Thomas SAC- One of the more popular "sleeper" choice of "experts", Thomas is finding minutes hard to come by. Many forget how effective Aaron Brooks can be, but Thomas is certainly getting a reminder. Toss in fan favorite Jimmer Fredette and Thomas owners are looking for help.
Rodney Stuckey DET- Anytime a player loses a starting role there is reason to worry. Detroit is Brandon Knight's team, at least in the backcourt. Stuckey has never been a shooter and now with more limited minutes, that weakness will be more exposed. Simply emergency fantasy material here.
Kirk Hinrich CHI- Chicago was hoping to bring back the magic is re-signing the former Bulls star guard. Looking for someone to hold the fort in the backcourt until Derrick Rose returns, if Derrick Rose returns, Hinrich has definitely lost a step. A solid backup combo-guard, but not winning fantasy production.
