It's getting dicey out there in fantasy baseball land, with Doc Halladay and Jered Weaver going DL. Still, plenty of decent options for the savvy owner. Let's take a look at what this coming week has to offer, shall we?
A fair amount of options this weekend. In between grilling and entertaining as the unofficial summer season begins (I can now wear white pants with my blue blazer in court...YEA!), you should consider picking up some of these guys, if only for a start. With some, maybe hold them for the long haul.
Now things begin to heat up, as the season rolls into June. Not a ton of options in the top tier this week, but plenty to choose from in the second level. What say I set forth some insightful commentary about your week 9 options?
Week 8 brings us a boat load of streaming options, some that I would suggest you add to your roster if you own an under-performing Starting Pitcher through the first two months (think Juan Nicasio). Who am I talking about? Read on, and discover the potential new additions to your squad. As always, all these guys are owned in less than 50% of leagues as of publication.
Another week, another set of two start pitchers to choose from. Many fine options this week, and we're back to in-league as opposed to inter-league play. Don't know how you feel about that part of modern baseball, but you need to adapt, with the move of Houston to the AL next season. Besides, how will St. Louis fans have an opportunity to boo Pujols without inter-league play? Anyhoo, on to the pitching options for this upcoming week.
It's not so bad this week, with loads of late week pick up options for your starting pitching. As ever, all these guys are owned in less than 50% of leagues, and thus may be available for you to snag for a weekend start. Just be wary of managerial changes, weather and injuries interfering with your insertion of any of the pitchers below in your lineup.
Before I head off to watch the Tigers take on the Twins this evening, I thought it would be a good idea to publish a short article about the Thursday Pitch & Ditch options. Two of these guys are here for the short term, most like, so take advantage now if you need the stats. The main weekend article will be published tomorrow.
Back at ya again with next week's two start options in the world of fantasy baseball. Week 7 rolls out a healthy number of choices to help your team succeed, and move up in the standings.
The end of a another week of head to head match ups rolls around, and it's that time to see if there are any worthies to consider adding to our rosters to get those last few Starting Pitching stats that will allow us to emerge victorious. As always, any player listed below is owned in 50% or less of leagues as of publication.
Week 6 already? How are all your teams doing? Need to pick it up in terms of starting pitching? You've come to the right place. Here are your weekly two start pitching options with my insightful commentary to guide your roster decisions. Remember, all 2 start opportunities are subject to weather, injury and screwy managerial decisions.
