Mike Evans is sitting out mini-camp Thursday after a minor tweak on Wednesday.

Well the good news is that this injury is only minor and occured during mini-camp so he should be 100 percent by the time training camp kicks around. Evans turned in a solid sophomore season, catching 74 passes for 1,206 yards and three touchdowns in 2015.

Davis was signed by the Dolphins during the off-season to a futures contract after he played in the German Football League however it appears his tenure with the club will come to an end before it ever really began.

Brandon McCarthy will throw a bullpen session Saturday.

McCarthy is working his way back from Tommy John surgery and while it's good news that he is expected to throw a bullpen session he is not expected to return to a major league mound until June at the earliest.

Hyun-Jin Ryu will throw a bullpen session Saturday.

Ryu missed all of 2015 due to a shoulder injury and during his recovery this off-season suffered a groin strain that set him back. With his groin now healed he will begin throwing to get his arm back in shape before heading out on a rehab assignment. The Dodgers were hopeful for a late-May return for Ryu but that will really depend on how his bullpen session goes.

Miguel Castro (shoulder) threw 25 pitches off flat ground Wednesday.

Castro has had a great start to the 2016 season so his return will be an immediate boost for the Rockies bullpen. He has recorded eight strikeouts, two hits, two walks, five holds, and just one earned run over six innings this season.

Motte (shoulder) threw a bullpen session Tuesday at extended spring training.

Motte has yet to throw a pitch this season but could challenge for saves upon his return to the team. Jake McGee is the current closer, and though his current numbers are ugly they came mostly from one very poor outing. Last season, Motte recorded 3.91 ERA and 1.22 WHIP as a member of the Cubs.

Justin Turner is not in the Dodgers' lineup Thursday.

The Dodgers have so much talent that it is difficult to figure out what their lineup will be on a nightly basis. Tonight, Howie Kendrick will get the start at third base, which bounces Turner to the bench. Kendrick has just two hits in his last 23 at-bats, so this is an interesting to move as the Dodgers will square off against Jose Fernandez.
