Week 18 arrives and serves up some very nice two start options. Some clunkers, too, but that is per usual.
Not much in the way of top tier starting pitchers this upcoming week. Plus, some surprises in the bottom tier, or maybe not so surprising given their recent performances.
Before we get to the 2 Start Options for this upcoming scoring period, a moment of silence for my loss...of BFBC, TT edition. Should have known Colon's production was too good to be natural, but losing him for the rest of the season truly hurts. Been scrambling all week to find a suitable replacement, some of whom are in the second tier below. Anythehoo, let's get to it.
I am certainly not overwhelmed by the two start pitching options this week. As I was telling Jeff Mans, the choices are crappily mediocre for the most part, at least one you get past the first tier and a handful in the middle tier. Still, you have to field a team, so here's what I see for the scoring period ahead.
Now things begin to heat up, as the season rolls into June. Not a ton of options in the top tier this week, but plenty to choose from in the second level. What say I set forth some insightful commentary about your week 9 options?
Week 6 already? How are all your teams doing? Need to pick it up in terms of starting pitching? You've come to the right place. Here are your weekly two start pitching options with my insightful commentary to guide your roster decisions. Remember, all 2 start opportunities are subject to weather, injury and screwy managerial decisions.
Opening Day has finally arrived this week. Some would say it arrived when the Athletics and Mariners played those two late March games in Japan, but I am not among those. I suppose that first Wednesday night game in the new Miami stadium qualifies as Mr. Selig's idea of how to imitate the NFL when opening the season, but for my money, Thursday and Friday opened the 2012 baseball season, if not the fantasy season. Anyhoo, it's time begin planning our lineups, and thus, here is the first Two Start Pitching column of the 2012 fantasy season.
