It's a solid group, but I believe the NBA really missed an opportunity by not including New York point guard Jeremy Lin. There must be a reason, right?
TACO BELL Skills Competition Contestants
Stephen Curry GOLDEN STATE- More of a shooter than the true point guards, will rely on his speed.
Kyrie Irving CLEVELAND- Rookie of the Year candiate is well rounded and has recovered from injury.
Tony Parker SAN ANTONIO- The old man of the group is a sentimental favorite.
John Wall WASHINGTON- Has talent tailor made for this competition. I'm partial to the home town guy, but he is the favorite.
Russell Westbrook OKLAHOMA CITY- Is the main competition for Wall, the most athletic of the group.
Deron Williams NEW JERSEY- Will be a crowd favorite as he may be the key to keeping Dwight Howard in Orlando.
The event will be carried LIVE on TNT as part of all the events during All-Star weekend. The competition is pretty straight forward and much of the same we have seen in the past. Players will dribble around and through cones, pass at various targets to test their ball handling ability with some shooting as well.
