You know those fantasy days where it all just hits you at the same time? You open up your live scoring page and all your hitters have 0-for’s next to their names and your pitchers have ERA and WHIP totals so high that you’re wondering if anyone actually completed a single inning? You look your roster up and down and the only things you have in abundance are red crosses and injury note tags? You know those days? Absolutely frustrating. Mind-numbing, really.
Is it just me or did Wednesday seem to be the most boring baseball day we’ve had this year? I mean, don’t get me wrong – there’s really nothing boring about watching a bunch of games and staring at the live scoring for your fantasy team, but where was the drama? Where was the excitement? Where was the four-home run day? Where was the perfect game, or at least the no-hitter? Not even a complete game shutout? Come on. The most dramatic moment we had was watching David Robertson show us that, no matter how good he may be, he’s no Mariano Rivera. And that probably doesn’t come as a shock to any of us.
"Sometimes you win, sometimes you lose, sometimes…it rains." Apologies for yesterday’s absence, folks. Heavy storms hit the other day and my internet access was wiped out. Obviously there’s no reason to backtrack as you can’t go back in time and adjust your fantasy lineups, so we’ll just move “forward” so to speak and hit you with the latest action and news from Thursday. However, since I’m not feeling my usual snarky and clever self, we’ll just get right to the big stuff.
