Initially stated that Hamilton was out of the lineup after taking a fly ball to the face just the other day so this is good news for his fantasy owners that he has recovered enough to start on Thursday.
It's likely that Holt will slot back into left field where he won the starting job to open the season but the Red Sox could also opt to move him back to being their super utility player with Bryce Brentz having a solid showing since being recalled from Triple-A.
The Nets have been linked to both Lin and Rajon Rondo which shows their commitment to improving their back court this off-season. Lin was used primarily as the Hornets sixth man in 2015 but injuries also forced him into the starting lineup where he had little trouble producing. Lin is likely going to sign somewhere that will provide him with ample playing time and the rebuilding Nets would be a good bet for that oppurtunity.
Roach finds himself heading to Triple-A after the Mariners called up veteran reliever Tom Wilhelmsen whom they just signed about a week ago. Roach appeared in three games for the Mariners, allowing four earned runs over 3.1 innings.
Clevenger will be replaced on the roster by Mike Zunino who was absolutely tearing up Triple-A, hitting .282 with 40 runs, 15 home runs and 51 RBI over 69 games. He should slot into a time share with Chris Iannetta behind the dish for the Mariners.
While initially out of the lineup the Reds have deemed Hamilton healthy enough to actually start on Thursday where he will man center field and hit seventh for the Reds against Gio Gonzalez and the Nationals.
