While living a block off the ocean has very little drawback for me, there are moments where it seems to get in the way of my relationship with you, the readers. Especially when the high winds and the salty mist that envelops my neighborhood join forces to thrash my internet connection and, quite often, overall power. It’s not that I didn’t want to spend my time recapping with all you the other day because you know I did. It’s that I couldn’t. Trapped somewhere in the Dark Ages wondering how in the world we got along so well over the years without internets and laptops and RSS feeds and Twitter and all that stuff.
When I opened the email and saw the trade offer sitting in front of me, I didn’t know whether to laugh or to cry. Finally, someone in this particular league was using my writing jobs against me, something I’ve often suggested to those in the various leagues in which I play. If you want to know which players I like, who I believe in and who I don’t, all you have to do is read. It’s out there, all over the internet. Review at your leisure.
Just a quick rundown today, folks. Lots of great ball played on Monday and who doesn’t love a full slate of games on what is normally considered a day of rest for the sport? But while the games were great and there was a bit of action to be had all over the place, no one really stood out as head and shoulders above the rest. Sure, there were some great pitching performances and obviously there were a handful of hitters that did their fantasy owners right, but for me, no one worthy of that coveted Beast tag today. What can you do? It happens. Doesn’t mean there isn’t plenty to see though…
