Kendrick had a 16-game hitting streak, in which he hit .394 with three homers and seven doubles, come to an end Tuesday night. In other words, the versatile veteran has been on fire at the dish recently. He will try to provide a spark for the Dodgers' lineup from the leadoff spot opposite Rays' lefty Matt Moore on Thursday afternoon.
O'Sullivan has been dealing with a knee issue, but is progressing well as of late. Barring any injury to one of Boston's current starting pitchers, the 28-year-old righty likely does not fit into the Red Sox' rotation plans going forward. O'Sullivan could, however, end up in the Boston bullpen.
Stacy suffered a broken ankle last November and is still yet to fully recover. The Jets are planning to sign former Ravens' and Jaguars' running back Bernard Pierce. The team heads to training camp on Wednesday.
Rollins made an impact for the Packers in his rookie year, recording 24 tackles, two interceptions and one sack across 14 games. A second-round pick in 2015, the 24-year-old defensive back missed the majority of offseason workouts with the Packers, but has come to training camp ready to go.
The good news here is that Brown apparently has no intentions of holding out. The star receiver has two years remaining on his current six-year deal, but it is perfectly understandable for him to be seeking a more lucrative salary, as the $43M valuation of his contract pales in comparison to that of other top performers at the position.
This news was revealed on Monday but I guess you could say that Gus Bradley made it official on Wednesday afternoon. Ramsey missed most all of the offseason program with a torn meniscus. The Jaguars first-round pick is expected to cover the slot in nickel packages. Jacksonville will be without the services of Aaron Colvin after his four game suspension, so he'll be put right into action. The plan is that Prince Amukamara will replace Ramsey on the outside in sub packages.
The 2014 third-round pick of the Chiefs was lost for the season after tearing his ACL against the Packers on September 27th. It has been a long road for Gaines but he has worked himself back into starting shape. Chiefs coach Andy Reid said he considers Gaines the favorite to start opposite Marcus Peters. Steven Nelson and rookie KeiVarae Russell will both compete for the spot as well.
This comes as no surprise because no one expected him to be ready for the start of training camp. Charles is coming off his second major knee surgery in the last four years and he turns 30 years old in December, this could be the beginning of the end for the veteran back. Spencer Ware and Charcandrick West played well in his place last season combining for 1,256 total yards and 11 touchdowns. Charles will be the lead back when available but Andy Reid will find touches for these two young up and coming backs.
The Jets signed the veteran running back despite the fact that Pierce will have to sit the first two games of the season to serve his suspension. He will be allowed to participate in training camp and the preseason. New York has an abundance of running back talent with Matt Forte leading the way followed by Bilal Powell, and Khiry Robinson. He should not be drafted in any Fantasy Football leagues.
The Blue Jays will give Osuna the afternoon off on Wednesday against the Padres after pitching three straight days. Toronto's closer has not allowed a hit over the last 2 2/3 innings while striking out three and earning two saves over that time. He should be ready to go for this weekend's series against the Orioles.
