OK, so we’re pulling in a little late to the station today. What can you do? Father’s Day weekend had a few more festivities than I expected and like a good dad I was sound asleep on the couch by 8:30 pm on Sunday. So again, rather than just stick to the top and bottom performances from Sunday, we’re going to splash in a few random fantasy baseball thoughts and some news for today that might be integral to setting your lineups for the week. Remember, the games don’t start until 7:00pm (ET) today so there’s plenty of time. And away we go…
Roy Halladay says he is healthy and ready to put last season behind him. Should you believe that? Will Mike Napoli be able to overcome concerns about his hips, get 500+ at-bats, and be a dominating fantasy catcher in 2013? With Frank Francisco's elbow barking, who are the Mets targeting to work the 9th inning in his place? Finally, what will the Indians do at the end of their rotation, and should you even care?
Happy Hump Day from your friends at Fantasy Alarm as we enter the final week of the month of August. It is truly on the strong that still survive, and at this point it is always the smaller moves that make the difference between winning and losing. Tonight we have some news of some potential waiver trades that could be going down, a rehabbing star and what I think about his chances of contributing this year, a potential new closer in the Big Apple, a brand new dad, and returning young star who needs to ease up on the tweeting. It is now or never for your fantasy team so be sure to check out Rounding The Bases.
