We have entered the final month of the season boys and girls and we are heading down the home stretch. It seems like with all of the minor league callups this season, the date of September 1st didn't mean as much this year. However, we will talk about the one big prospect that was called along with what we think he can bring you in the last weeks of the year. There is also news on two of his injured teammates, a rehabbing pitcher across town, and a catcher in Bean Town. I give you which major leaguer is the most proned to craziness, and a starting pitcher that I love for 2012. Don't lose focus now with football starting, stay right here with Rounding The Bases.
It's a beautiful day in the neighborhood, a beautiful day for a neighbor, could you be mine, would you be mine? Hmmmm, why am I singing the Mr. Rogers theme (he was a creepy old guy we used to watch on TV for those of you under 30) to start the Rounding The Bases segment tonight? Well, we at Fantasy Alarm like to think that we are a nice, cozy, comfortable place to get your fantasy sports news. Like what happened in Stephen Strasburg's latest rehab start, or what's wrong with Brian Wilson, David Ortiz, and Josh Hamilton? Let me tell you the story of the news that you need to know from this Wednesday in tonight's edition of Rounding The Bases!
As we celebrate the end of the NFL lockout today and the official start of the fantasy football season, we have to remember that fantasy baseball is coming to the last third of the season and this is when championships are won and lost. You can't lose focus on your team right now as the distraction of football starts to creep into your consciousness. Keep your eyes on the prize with your baseball team, cut the dead wood, take advantage of a fellow owner who may have lost his focus, and keep the pedal to the medal on the way to first place. Of course, Fantasy Alarm is the place to go for all of the news, reviews, and advice to help you finish what you started, and don't forget to never miss Rounding The Bases! (Wow, was that conceited!)
It is the Fourth of July and I hope that all of you have enjoyed the celebrations of the day with many drinks, lots of meats on the grill, and if the weather was nice where you are, some basking in the sunshine. Fantasy baseball was still in full swing today though and there is plenty ot cover. A lot of the news has to do with starting pitching, where there are some I trust, some I don't, and some I am unsure of yet. We have a minor league prospect who is back in the majors, a zoo animal who seems to be on the road to a big second half, and a recently called up prospect who is tearing things up. If you haven't had too many drinks today, enjoy Rounding The Bases.
