It was a huge schedule on Wednesday as there were 17 games in total with doubleheaders included, and there is a ton to talk about. We have a elite player who takes a leave, one of the best back on the field, and a couple of younger hitters who won't be on it for a little while. We have one of the hotter prospects in baseball headed back to the farm, and a disappointing closer who seems to have found his groove. There is all of that news and so much more as we take you around the box scores and give you every piece of fantasy relevant happenings and how it should affect your team.
Not a ton of news from around the world of fantasy baseball, but what we have is pretty significant. We have another change at closer, this time for a fairly prominent National League team, as well as one of fantasy's finest catchers who is going to sit for a couple of weeks. There is also news about an already injured pitcher who has a setback, and a budding slugger who is going to miss a few days with a family matter. It is another installment of Rounding The Bases, your daily look at all of the most relevant fantasy news.
Plenty to talk about tonight as we begin week 3 of the fantasy baseball season in style. Tonight we saw some big name players go down with injuries, a couple big league performances from part time players and a young starting pitcher who just had to have some T-shirts from his local Macy's department store. We're also going to give out some updates on guys who have been on the disabled list all season and let you know what you can expect of them in the coming weeks. So let's get it on with the latest edition of Rounding The Bases...
A lot of tonight's article revolves around veterans that are off to good starts that I question whether we believe in them or not. Some I decide that I do, while others I severely doubt. There is some news on multiple young pitchers and the exciting starts that they are off too, But we begin with closer news, one that has already lost his job, and another that damn well better before too long. Finally we talk about one of Fantasy Alarm's favorite sleepers and what he has been doing lately. Week three of the fantasy baseball season starts tomorrow and for the most part you still should be patient with the guys that you have but check out the news of the night from Rounding The Bases.
Happy Saturday to you all as another weekend of fantasy baseball is upon us. Tonight we have some injury news on some of the biggest names in the game, as well as a first round fantasy pick riding the pine on Saturday. There is talk of some pitching in Boston and in the Bronx, as well as speculating on how long this hot streak in Cleveland will last. Is it all for real? Speaking of for real, what about this guy in Kansas City that is suddenly lighting it up right when we all gave up hope on him? Don't forget to check out all the rest of the great content on Fantasy Alarm as we continue to help lead you to a fantasy championship!
Jonesy (aka FunnyJones) who happens to be the funniest sports fan on the planet and one of the head writers for The Fantasy Alarm Show on SiriusXM recently got together with our own Jeff Mans to put together this fitting tribute to one of the greatest characters in modern baeball history. We have the usual Thursday abbreviated schedule again today, and there also seems to be a lack of great performances as well. One of my "favorite" all time fantasy players needs a day off, a former caveman comes through in a big way, and we realize that it is just Tex being Tex. I realize that I might have a new man crush in Kansas City, while another one takes it on the chin in the Bronx. Another Phillies pitcher rolls through a lineup, and a Marlins hurler drives me nuts. It is all in a day's work here at Fantasy Alarm, and remember if you started Joe Mauer tonight, that you would have known to get him out of your lineup if you had signed up for Fantasy Alarm. Check out the homepage to find out more about fantasy baseball's secret weapon!
Happy Hump Day to you all as we are in the middle of another fine fantasy week in the regular season. Tonight on the pitching side we see what could be the end of a closer in Chicago, a major concern in Minnesota, one ace rolling again and another one on the mend. The guys with the bats in their hands see a couple of Jeff's favorites going yard, an under the radar shortstop staying hot, and a change of identity in St. Louis. We also run down some of the guys who let the dogs out tonight on both sides of the diamond. We hope that your teams are absolutely crushing the competition, but if you need some help don't forget that you can send an email which is located in the article below. Sit back, pop a cold one, and enjoy the show!
Another season, another big time injury for Josh Hamilton and we will chronicle that as well as who is the man to replace him in that lineup. There is also more injury news from California and New York as well as a returning slugger in America's Heartland. From the pitching angle we have a great young pitching duel, a hot start that starts to cool, and one that keeps going pretty strong. And of course we also give you the top performers of the night. With all of this injury talk it is the perfect time to remind you to head to the home page and sign up for Fantasy Alarm and NEVER start a benched player again!
Another day, another rash of news in fantasy baseball. Tonight we have a couple of guys going to the Disabled List, a closer in danger of losing his job and the next guy in line. WE have a couple of injureid players, some more easier to predict than others. And as always we feature the top perfomers of the day. Feel free to contact Fantasy Alarm for all of your questions, and of course don't forget to sign up for the secret weapon, or text/email service that lets you know when your guys are out of the lineup.
