Brandon Nimmo will be recalled by the Mets from Triple-A Las Vegas.

Nimmo will assume the roster spot vacated by the recently demoted Michael Conforto. He has been slashing a strong .330/.411/.529 on the season at Triple-A Las Vegas, and has hit three long balls this past week. His bat will be welcomed to try to wake up the moribund Mets offense.

Willson Contreras is batting fourth and starting in left field.

The Cubs are looking to keep his hot bat in the lineup when the Cubs face off against the Marlins on the road. He has seven hits over his past 17 ABs with three homers and eight RBI.

Mets will demote Michael Conforto to Triple-A Las Vegas.

Conforto has been struggling mightily at the plate, after starting the season with high expectations among fantasy players. He will likely work on his approach at the plate while in Triple-A, and we should see Alejandro De Aza in left against the host Pirates on Saturday evening.

Yan Gomes has returned to the Indians lineup on Saturday.

Gomes was out of the Indian lineup the past two days, after having a back cyst drained. He is back behind the plate on Saturday, hitting seventh. He is 7-for-14 against Tiger starting pitcher Anibal Sanchez, so makes for a tempting daily option at catcher, if a bit pricey.

Miguel Montero (knee) returned to the Cubs lineup on Saturday.

Montero was inactive the past two contests due to an injury to his knee suffered in Wednesday's game. He is hitting seventh Saturday. He is hitting just .197 on the season over 117 AB.

Anthony Rizzo is back in the Cubs lineup on Saturday.

Rizzo missed the last two games with back stiffness. He was working on a five game hitting streak before having to sit out, with five RBI and a pair of dingers. He is hitting in the third slot on Saturday when the Cubs continue their series against the host Marlins.

Ben Zobrist is not in the Cubs lineup on Saturday.

Javier Baez is starting at second on Saturday, and hitting out of the fifth position in the lineup. Zobrist was hit on the ankle Friday night, and while he only has a bruise, the team will use the injury to give him a day off and find a way to keep Baez' bat in the lineup. Zobrist has been going through a mini-slump anyway, with just one hit in his last 16 AB.
