Marc Gasol Headshot

Gasol is questionable for Sunday's game against the Warriors with a left foot strain.

It's unclear when exactly Gasol suffered the injury, but his status for Sunday's matchup against the Warriors is in jeopardy. The Grizzlies will likely provide additional updates as the team progresses through shootaround Sunday. If he's unable to give it a go, Brandan Wright would likely pick up additional workload.

Andre Ethier Headshot

Ethier (back) will not resume baseball activities until the first week of April, Andy McCullough of the Los Angeles Times reports.

The soon-to-be 35-year-old might be the odd-man out when the regular season begins, as L.A. has a glut of outfielders. He isn't a bad stash option, especially in NL-only formats, as he still has plenty of power. However, expect his season to get off to a rather slow go.
9:09 pm (EST)
Reid Boucher Headshot

Boucher tallied a pair of goals, one of which came on the power play, in a 4-2 victory against the Wild on Saturday.

Owners who took a chance on Boucher when he finally received steady playing time starting in February can't complain. In the last 11 games, Boucher has five goals and six points. He's also averaging 2.4 shots per game. The power-play goal is definitely an aberration, but fantasy owners in deeper leagues should feel good about adding Boucher during his hot streak.

Trevor Plouffe Headshot

Plouffe suffered a minor tweak of the abductor muscle in Saturday's Cactus League spring game, Susan Slusser of the San Francisco Chronicle reports.

Manager Bob Melvin didn't seem to indicate it was anything major, so that's good news for fantasy owners in early draft leagues. He had been ripping the cover off the ball in the spring and looks like he is in line for a strong 2017 stat line.
9:01 pm (EST)
Ryan Suter Headshot

Suter tallied a goal and three shots in 25:08 during a 4-2 loss to the Canucks on Saturday.

The goal snapped a five-game scoreless streak and 16-game goalless stretch. Even with the lack of scoring lately, owners can hardly be disappointed with Suter, who now has a career-high nine goals. He also leads the NHL with a plus-32 rating. Perhaps this goal will open things up again for Suter, but it's already been a tremendous season.
8:59 pm (EST)
Jonathon Simmons Headshot

Simmons will draw the start at shooting guard Saturday against the Knicks, Jeff McDonald of the San Antonio Express-News reports.

Earlier Saturday, it was reported that Kyle Anderson would be drawing the start for the sidelined Danny Green (rest), but coach Gregg Popovich made a late lineup switch just prior to tipoff. In three games as a starter this season, Simmons has averaged 6.7 points, 2.7 rebounds and 2.3 assists across 26.3 minutes per game.
8:48 pm (EST)
Kyle Anderson Headshot

Contrary to previous reports which indicated that Anderson would be starting in place of Danny Green (rest) Saturday against the Knicks, Anderson will continue to come off the bench while Jonathon Simmons draws the start at shooting guard, Jeff McDonald of the San Antonio Express-News reports.

Coach Gregg Popovich has been known to switch around his starting five just prior to tipoff without explanation, and that seems to be the case for Saturday. Though Anderson will come off the bench, it's possible he still sees 20 to 30 minutes of run.
8:45 pm (EST)
Serge Ibaka Headshot

Ibaka rejoin the starting five for Saturday's matchup against the Mavericks after serving his one game suspension.

As expected, Ibaka will slide right back into the power forward slot following his one game suspension, which he served Thursday against the Heat. In the month of March, Ibaka is averaging 13.9 points, 6.4 rebounds, and 1.6 blocks across 30.5 minutes per contest.
8:31 pm (EST)
Ron Baker Headshot

Baker will return to his usual role off the bench for Saturday's matchup against the Spurs, Paul Garcia of Project Spurs reports.

With Derrick Rose (foot) returning to the starting five, Baker will head back to the bench. On the season, he's averaging 3.5 points across 13.3 minutes per game, and should see around 10 to 20 minutes of action Saturday.
8:28 pm (EST)
Greg Bird Headshot

Bird cranked his seventh home run of Grapefruit League play Saturday against the Blue Jays, Greg Zeck of MLB.com reports.

Bird has been smashing the ball, tying Kansas City's Peter O'Brien for the most homers in the spring. Of his 20 hits this spring, 15 have been of the extra-base variety with seven homers, seven doubles and a triple. He missed all of the 2016 season due to a tear of the right shoulder labrum, but apparently he is ready to make up for lost time.
