DeVante Parker Headshot

Parker (ankle) was a limited participant at Wednesday's practice

Parker seemingly picked up a minor ailment during Sunday's 19-17 win over the Chargers, though he still caught four of nine targets for 85 yards. His ability to practice in any capacity suggests he'll likely be ready for Sunday's matchup with an immensely burnable Jets secondary.

Rodney McLeod Headshot

McLeod (hamstring) didn't practice Wednesday and isn't expected to play Sunday against the Giants, Jeff McLane of The Philadelphia Inquirer reports.

McLeod is one of three safeties in Philly with a hurt hamstring, and if they all can't play, Chris Maragos, a veteran special teams man, may have to fill in. This leaves a battered Eagles' secondary with Giants' receiver Odell Beckham (ankle) coming to town near full health.

Marlon Mack Headshot

Mack (shoulder) was a limited participant at Wednesday's practice.

The injury didn't necessarily contribute to Mack's reduced workload in Sunday's loss to Arizona, as most of his Week 1 touches came in the second half of a blowout. Even if he's relatively healthy, Sunday's matchup against the Browns figures to be a competitive game, which should work more in favor Frank Gore and Robert Turbin. However, the Colts may want to give Mack an extended look at some point, considering they're already shaping up as a long shot to compete for a playoff spot.
5:51 pm (EST)
Luis Severino (R) Headshot

Severino allowed three runs on five hits and one walk while striking out three over three innings in a no-decision against the Twins on Wednesday.

He wasn't at his best in this one, and manager Joe Girardi ultimately pulled Severino after just 71 pitches. The Yankees had moved Severino up a day for this start -- it was an interesting decision, as the Yankees gave up the chance to keep Minnesota from seeing Severino until a potential wild-card game for the option to start Severino three times before the end of the regular season. The 23-year-old should have an easier go of it early next week against the Rays.
5:49 pm (EST)
Kamar Aiken Headshot

Aiken (hip) was a limited participant at Wednesday's practice.

Aiken has been filling in as the No. 3 receiver for Chester Rogers (hamstring), who was a non-participant at Wednesday's practice. With Andrew Luck (shoulder) sidelined indefinitely, it comes as no surprise that Aiken has caught only four passes for 34 yards despite playing 74 percent of the offensive snaps. Based on the initial injury report, he's in line to handle the No. 3 role once again Sunday against Cleveland.
5:49 pm (EST)
David Price (L) Headshot

Manager John Farrell said Price could serve as Boston's closer Wednesday against the Orioles, Tim Britton of The Providence Journal reports.

With Craig Kimbrel and Addison Reed both unavailable due to heavy workloads recently, Farrell suggested Price could be next in line to get the ball in the ninth should a save situation present itself. The southpaw made his first relief appearance since 2010 over the weekend, striking out two batters in a pair of scoreless innings against the Rays. Despite Wednesday's possible save opportunity, Price is still expected to close out the season as an important multi-inning reliever for the Red Sox, with Craig Kimbrel holding down the ninth inning.
5:48 pm (EST)
John Gant (R) Headshot

Gant will join the rotation, and likely take the mound for Sunday's game against the Pirates, The St. Louis Post-Dispatch's Derrick Goold reports.

Gant is going to replace Jack Flaherty, who struggled during his start Tuesday against the Reds, and is headed for a relief role out of the bullpen. During just five appearances with the Cardinals this season, Gant has accumulated a 3.86 ERA and 1.29 WHIP, with a 8:5 K:BB over 9.1 innings. He hasn't made a big-league start since last season with Atlanta, but spent most of the season as a starter with Triple-A Memphis, so he should have enough stamina to go more than a few innings for the club in Pittsburgh.
5:46 pm (EST)
Reggie Porter Headshot

Porter was signed by the Browns off of the Ravens' practice squad.

Cleveland had room on its roster after 2016 first-round pick Corey Coleman (hand) was placed on injured reserve. Porter will slot in as a depth cornerback, but he'll mainly be used in special teams situations.
5:45 pm (EST)
Aaron Dell Headshot

Dell stopped all 24 shots in Tuesday's 5-0 preseason victory against Anaheim.

After posting a 2.00 GAA and a .931 save percentage in the 2016-17 season, Dell carried over his strong play into the preseason. Dell was able to eliminate any chance Anaheim generated, including shutting down four power plays. Although Troy Grosenick figures to get some preseason action, the backup goaltender job behind Martin Jones appears to be Dell's to lose.
5:41 pm (EST)
Corey Davis Headshot

Davis (hamstring) won't play Sunday against the Seahawks, Jim Wyatt of the Titans' official site reports.

With Davis unavailable, look for Rishard Matthews and Eric Decker to head the Titans' Week 3 wideout corps, with Taywan Taylor a candidate to pick up some added snaps in Sunday's contest.
