Yasmany Tomas went 2-for-4 with a home run, an RBI, and a run scored in Arizona’s 4-3 loss to Philadelphia on Tuesday.

That’s three games in a row with a hit for Tomas and four of the last five. Tuesday marked his 13th homer of the season and his 31st RBI of the year as well. Tomas has been on a role of late with a .290/.313/.645 slash line with three homers, six RBI, and four runs scored. Tomas has never faced the Wednesday starter for the Phillies in Zach Eflin.

Carlos Correa went 3-for-4 with a double, a home run, four RBI, and two runs scored in Houston’s 7-1 win over L.A. on Tuesday night.

Correa had himself a day on Tuesday as the Astros continued on their tear with a seven total base day. It was his 13th homer of the year and he accounted for five of the seven runs Houston scored against the Angels. The 21-year-old shortstop is hitting .321/.394/.786 with three homers, 11 RBI, and six runs scored over the last several games. Wednesday’s starter Jered Weaver has a bad history against Correa with Correa tagging him for a .375 AVG in eight attempts with a homer and three RBI.

Jake Lamb went 2-for-3 with a home run, a triple, two runs scored, and an RBI in Arizona’s 4-3 loss to Philadelphia on Tuesday night.

Lamb got a hit for the first time in three games on Tuesday as he hit his 15th homer of the year. The young third baseman is really starting to come around this year with more homers than in the previous two combined. The last seven games have been kind to him with a .286/.333/.571 slash line, two homers, seven RBI, and seven runs scored. Lamb is 1-for-3 with an RBI against Zach Eflin in his career.

Zack Greinke pitched two innings allowing one run (one earned) on four hits with two strikeouts in a no decision on Tuesday against Philadelphia.

Greinke had an abbreviated start on Tuesday after injuring an oblique while at bat in the second inning. With the start cut short it’s hard to fully analyze how it falls in line with the recent starts he’s had but in the last seven, a 2.22 ERA, 0.82 WHIP, 33:8 K:BB ratio, and a 5-0 record has him turning the season around. There is no timetable for his return to the rotation yet as the injury just happened.

Jeanmar Gomez earned his 21st save of the season in pitching a perfect ninth inning to protect the Phillies 4-3 lead over Arizona.

Gomez has taken the closer role and run with it for the Phillies as he notched his 21st save in his 23rd chance. Gomez has posted solid numbers in the ninth inning with a 3.09 ERA, 1.17 WHIP, a 24:9 K:BB ratio and a 2-2 record. As long as the Phillies continue to play close games, which given their offense, they will, Gomez is a good lower tier closing candidate in standard leagues.

Jerad Eickhoff pitched five innings allowing two runs (two earned) on seven hits and three walks with six strikeouts in a no-decision on Tuesday night in Arizona.

In his sixth start in June Eickhoff his second shortest outing of the year on Tuesday. He needed 105 pitches to get through the five innings and face 24 batters. In the last seven starts, Eickhoff has posted great numbers with a 2.76 ERA, 1.13 WHIP, 40:13 K:BB ratio, and a 3-3 record for the slumping Phillies. He will face Atlanta in his next start on Monday. The last time he faced the Braves he went seven scoreless innings.

Maikel Franco went 2-for-5 with a double, a home run, an RBI, and a run scored in Philadelphia’s 4-3 win over the Diamondbacks on Tuesday.

Franco has loved hitting on this road trip as he’s put together a five-game hitting streak with Tuesday’s at bats and hit his 13th homer of the year in the process. This was also the second straight game with an RBI for the young third baseman. He seems to be starting to warm up at the plate in the last seven games with a .261/.452/.435 slash line and a homer, four RBI, and five runs scored in that span. Up next on Wednesday is Archie Bradley on the hill for the D’Backs against whom Franco is 0-for-3 in his career.

The Brooklyn Nets will reportedly pursue Allen Crabbe in free agency.

The Nets don't have many tradeable assets, so their main avenue to improvement is free agency, so they are interested in every relatively young free agent with potential. Crabbe fits the bill, and the Nets could be the best place for his fantasy value as he would almost certainly start at shooting guard in Brooklyn.

Denard Span went 2-for-5 with a home run, a walk, two RBI and two runs scored on Tuesday against the Athletics.

Span may only be hitting .253, but he does have 35 runs scored and eight stolen base, both of which will play in most formats. He is hits atop the San Francisco order, hitting in front of the likes of Brandon Belt and Buster Posey, which helps keeps his run scoring numbers relatively high. Continue to roll with Span, especially if you need some steals here and there.
