Cam Newton (ribs) did not participate in Wednesday's practice, according to injury report. Coach Ron Rivera still optimistic he will play Sunday vs. Tampa Bay.
It would be the biggest shock of the season if Newton was not under center for thew Panthers on Sunday. The biggest. The ribs are likely bothering him so it's no surprise that they're resting him before the weekend. Trust in Newton this week. You drafted him to be your QB1. Continue to treat him as such.ANALYST: Howard Bender
Wilson Ramos went 1-for-4 with a solo home run in the Nationals 2-1 win over the Cubs on Monday.
Ramos hit his third home run of the season on Monday to go with a .285 average, 13 runs and 21 RBI. Health has been Ramos’s biggest hindrance so far in his career as he has appeared in more than 100 games just once since he entered the league in 2010 but that has not stopped the production as he has hit 10+ home runs three times since 2011 and boasts a per 162 average of 22 home runs and 87 RBI which would make him one of the top offensive catchers in baseball. Ramos owners should keep their fingers crossed that this is the year he plays a full season as they will likely end up with one of the top catchers in fantasy. Analysis: Jonathan Impemba
